I was outside, waiting for bus as usual. It was quite cold, little flurries falling from the sky. The bus should have been here 10 minutes ago! Ugh, it's late! This was very unusual. My bus driver is the most punctual person I know.
I call my mother, who was already at work.
"Hey, is there something going on with school that I don't know?" I ask slightly worried.
"Oh no! You are standing outside, in the cold, aren't you!" She sounded more worried than I was.
"Uhh, ya?" I said nervously.
"Oh honey, get inside! It's a snow day! How come they didn't tell you!" How did I not know!
"What do you mean, who tells people!" I felt so stupid!
"The student committee of course! They send out a text to all of the students!" Her tone suddenly happier. "The head of the student committee is in charge of all that!" She continued.
"Who is the head of the student committee?!" I was so mad, they did this on purpose!
"Oh, I'm pretty sure it's Mrs. Pingle's nice young daughter! They must have just accidentally forgot to send you the text! Oops!" I could practically hear her smile! Mrs. Pingle's daughter is Sarah Pingle. Queen B and apparently, head of the student committee too! She hates me! Of course she wouldn't send me the text!
"Yep just an innocent little mistake! I guess I will see you after work, then?" I questioned her.
"Yes, of course dear! I will just be home a couple hours later than usual." She continues "I have an important meeting!" She explains.
"Ok, bye mother!"
"Bye honey, have a nice day!" She hung up.
A snow day! I was so annoyed, but yet so relieved! I wouldn't have to go to that hell hole today! But there is so little snow, though! Well the student committee decides the snow days. Oh, they just didn't want to get some snowflakes in their perfect hair, or get a little water in their designer shoes! I giggle at the thought.
Giggle.
Giggle.
Jacob said my giggle was cute. He was faking it. Why can't you get it through that little head of yours! He just felt sorry for your fat ass! I start to tear up. Every thing gets a little blurry from the tears. I start running home.
After I get home, I was full on sobbing! I check my notifications. Yesterday, I kept getting non-stop messages from Jacob. They stopped last night. See he doesn't care! He just gave up on you! You will never mean anything to him! Maybe that little voice in my head was right. I'm not special, I don't have friends, let alone anyone trying.
I decided a little snap chat would be nice. The app loaded on my phone. Of course, no one has sent me a snap chat! I check my stories. Jacob Sartorious 1h. I look at his story.
"Hey guys, I just posted a new Instagram photo. Go check it out! My Instagram is right here. I will be DMing the first people who like it! My Instagram, right here. Go like it!" He sounded so happy. Just stop, please! I internally roll my eyes.
I went to go check his photo. (I am my tablet 😆)
