Erin hurried in the door, "Kim, what the hell is going on?" She asked tossing her purse on the table, she was almost unintelligible on the phone.

Kim grabbed the back packs she had packed for the kids, "I can't talk about it, not right now. I just need you to keep the kids for the night, please? Can you do that?" She asked.

Her world still felt shaky, and she knew it would only get worse once she spoke with Adam. The children didn't need to be in the house when they had that discussion, she had no idea what Adam knew or how he would react.

"Hey, Lily, Holden? Come here please!"Kim called for her children, taking a deep breath in hopes of remaining composed, so many different thoughts racing through her mind.

"Hey Aunt Erin" Lily hugged her, she thought Erin was the coolest.

"Hey girl" Erin smiled, she tousled Holden's hair, "Could you look any more like your daddy"

"Listen, I need to take care of something, you need to stay with Aunt Erin and Uncle Jay tonight, okay?"

Lily stomped her foot, "but the Hawks play tonight and daddy said he was gonna watch it with me" she whined, Adam had successfully turned her into a hockey fanatic,

"I'm sure Uncle Jay'll watch it, Henry too" Erin offered.

Lily rolled her eyes, "Daddy promised!"

Kim played with her daughter's ponytail, "I know baby but something came up" she told her, "promise me you'll be good and not fight with the boys"

Lily rolled her eyes, nothing was worse then hanging out with Henry and Cash Halstead and her brother. The three boys drove her crazy, "just one night, do you promise?"

"Yes, baby. Just one night" she kissed her, "Holden, you be nice to your sister, got it?"

He smiled, "I will" he was stoked to see his buddies.

The kids took off for the car, "Kim, are you and Adam alright?"

Kim sighed, "I don't know" she didn't know anything, "I'll call you, please take care of my babies"

Erin smiled sadly, "Of course Kim, let me know if I can do anything else...like kick Adam's ass"

Luke had torn the house apart looking for money, or anything that would give him a clue to as to what his mother had meant in the letter she'd left him.

Just what exactly had she put into motion, he wasn't even sure he knew what that meant.

He rummaged through the drawer and found a business card, with the name of a detective on it.

He tucked it in his back pocket certain it would come in handy.

Adam tossed his keys on the counter, unnerved by the stillness of the house. Usually he could hear Holden playing on the drums he'd gotten from Jay and Erin for his fourth birthday, Adam was still searching for gift for the Halstead boys that would be louder than the drum set.

"Darlin'?" He called out, he was still in some strange type of shock, he couldn't believe Wendy would've tried to kill herself and just how did she end up with his business card.

He went upstairs and found Kim sitting on their bed, he could tell she'd been crying, he kneeled in front of her, "You're crying, why? Where are the kids?" He asked wondering what had upset her.

She ran the tissue under her eyes, "I asked Erin to take them for the night, we need to talk..." She held up the envelope, "about this"

He went to take it from her, "Is it from Wendy?" He asked as she finally relinquished her grip on it, "because she was the Jane Doe, Kim, she shot herself...in the head"
