When the bus stops, I jump off the bus before anyone could get in front of me. I race towards the school, hoping to get to school before everyone else. I hear Mel running towards me, but I don't care. That is until I'm knocked over by someone. The person falls on top of me, making me throw them off me. I hear a yep.

I turn around, only to see Mel lying on the ground. "Sorry," I call, running towards the school.

When I walk inside, I look around. The ceiling is high, clearly from the older than most buildings. It kinda reminds me of the church Mom took Matt and I to when we were younger. The room is large, being lit by a single large chandelier.

Hearing heels clicking, I see a tall woman at the top of the stairs. Her hair is pinned in a tight bun and her blue dress hugged her body. She reminds me of Jeanine from Divergent for some reason, but I can't figure out why. "You're early," she says. I nod. "And who might you be?"

"Emma Swift," I answer. "It's nice to meet you."

"It's lovely to meet you, too," she says, in a way Erudite Jeanine would. "I'm Mrs Jasmine Micheal." Even her name is like her. Oh... "If you would like, you can go up to your room. It's nice to have someone care so much to come early. You're just going to miss the speech about working hard, but you clearly know that."

"Thank you," I say.

"You're welcome." She pulls out a book from her pocket. Flipping through, she finally stops. "Room 424. Your roommate is already there, so she'll let you in. I'll drop your key off later." She smiles. "Have a good day."

"You, too," I say, racing to the elevator.

When I make it to the dorm room, I knock on the door. "Is someone there?" comes a familiar voice. It's Jessica.
