Chapter 3: Awaken

Sayu's POV

Yeah, it's only my birthday today, nice one. Darn, too bad for me even though I put that much effort just to forget about my birthday, but I can't because I'd been always celebrating my birthday before with mom and dad unlike now. Also, my classmates even called me by telephone and greeted me in advance, so they are my reminders of my birthday that I'm trying to forget. They asked also if I want them to come over, but I don't want a celebration and said no to them. Actually I'm not that friendly and close to my classmates, they're the one who started talking to me first and asked me to be their friend.

It was six in the evening, which seems to be long for me. I wanted this day to end already. I gotta do something to occupy my mind. First, I'll take a bath then eat my dinner.

After taking shower, and opening the door to my room, I think I just saw someone on my window. So I came to and open it to see anyone but no one was there. I'm wandering who could that be. Or maybe just the shadows of trees outside. So I let it be, and then proceed to put on my clothes. After which I went downstairs to eat my dinner.

Unknown POV

I'm startled when she came out and notice me in her window. I immediately jump from her window to the ground which was about four meters high, I run fast and hide. She opened her window to confirm what she had just saw. But didn't see anyone and of course me. So she immediately closed the window because she still haven't put on her clothes. She couldn't have see me. Not now, my master commanded me to follow, lookout for her and observe her behavior, which I'll be reporting all to my master. I'd been doing this already for three weeks immediately after her parents died.  

Sayu, really beautiful name and it suits her...

When I first saw her, I can't seem to take my eyes from her. She looked pale, but beautiful. Her slender and proportionate body is tempting. Her long black hair that goes down her waist looked stunning that sway and follow to her every movement. Her perfect face is just adorable but most especially, thing you wouldn't miss looking at her is her violet eyes only she has.

Today is her eighteenth birthday, and today she'll awaken. I needed to be very cautious of what is about to happen. She just need to know her true self and nothing can stop it even herself...

Sayu's POV

It was 7:45pm already, I've cooked my food, set it on the table and I sat on the chair already. While I was eating I just feel uncomfortable, and I know this feeling, the feeling that someone is watching you which above all is one thing I hate. I can't eat properly now so I began to clean up my dishes and then I made sure everything is locked. Then after, I went up to my room and turn on the television. I just need it to make me sleep.

When I look at my alarm clock, it's already 10:30pm. "Haha, for real" I said to myself because I still can't feel sleepy after watching all boring shows and programs on the t.v..

It's getting hot, I don't know but the aircon is on. So I decided to adjust it and decrease the temperature. But as soon as I stand up I felt sharp pain on my head and chest, like someone struck a sword on me. It's radiating throughout my body and I felt as if my body's on fire. I don't have any idea what's happening to me right now. I can't maintain my balance already and fell down the floor with a loud thud. I can't seem to breath, as if I was deprived of air. It's very difficult for me to inhale. Then my sight now is blurring. I felt my eyes burning painfully. I can only see red surrounding me. I tried to scream for help but my voice fails me and now no one would hear and try to help me. Now I can only plead for help in my mind, that someone would try to come over and see what's happening to me because right now I'm suffering so much unbearable pain. Someone, please help me... hee...lp m..e....

Unknown POV

I'm amazed, I can say she has sixth sense. Haha, not usual of course for her because she's not human at all. While she was eating, I just can't control myself to look at her sternly. Then she started to look uneasy in her seat. I can say she can sense me, that's for sure but not totally and of course she can't see me. She then stood up and started to clean up her plates. And she make sure of all the doors and windows are locked before she went upstairs.

Upstairs, she lounged on her bed and turned on the t.v.. Almost two hours passed and I'm waiting for that moment... She looks really sweaty, as if like she just have run a mile and then she stood up maybe to adjust the temperature of the aircon. But to my surprise she stood there in place like she's feeling heavy. Then she began shaking and fell on the floor. I got nervous. I wanted to help her but then I remember the thing she was experiencing now is no ordinary pain. My master warned me not to go near her or touch her during the time she'll awaken. So I just look out to her from her window and saw her suffer, and I can tell that's she's really suffering...

Sayu's POV

I'm still trying to call for help though no sounds really comes out from my mouth. And also my my throat was too dry to produce any sound. I was lying on my left side as tears were falling from my painful eyes. I was thinking now that this was my fate, die painfully and no one would know. The world was really cruel for me...

I closed my eyes and wait to meet my parents in the other world...
