~Sakura's POV~
Time: The Last: Naruto the Movie

❌❌❌

The mission to save the moon from falling was a success. Sure, the fact that Konoha was safe was great, but I was more happy for the relationship that had formed between Naruto and Hinata. The fact that Hinata never gave up, even though he was the biggest, most oblivious dobe. And Naruto..finally growing up and realizing her feelings for him, after all this time. It was all so cute.

They've been together for a few months now, living in his apartment (seperate rooms? Now even I don't know ;3). Since I live alone, I occasionally visit them or Ino, one of my closest friends. But lately, Ino's been busy with her new boyfriend, Sai, so I tried hanging out with Temari, but she's all caught up with Shikamaru, and then Tenten has Rock Lee..

It seems as if everyone is finding love. Except me.

Well, it's not that I'm not interested in anyone, but I..the person I'm in love with is out town right now. He promised he'd come back for me, and I still believe him till this day. He's never went back against his word before. I've decided to trust him, with all my heart. I mean, my feelings had already been shattered before, so what have I got to lose? The thing is, no matter how much he hurt me before, I still hung on, knowing that one day, he'll feel the same way. I still have faith that he'll fall for me..one day.

'Sakura..thank you..' His words echoed through my ears.

'Sasuke..I..'

"I love you!" I screamed in my sleep.

I woke with a stat and popped my eyes open. I sat up straight, breathing heavily. Looking around to my window, I realized that it was just a dream. A pretty damn realistic one.

I lay back on my bed for a few more minutes, cherishing my memories with him, then decided to get up and start my day. I stretched and slumped to the bathroom, and freshened up there. After brushing my teeth, I examined myself hard in the mirror. I looked pretty awful: heavy bags under my eye lids from restless nights, seeing the same dream, or nightmare, on repeat for the past months. I shook my head, then splashed my fact with cold water, which I let slide down my face.

Pressing a towel to dry my face, I then changed into a cozy, raspberry knitted sweater that Hinata made me, and a pair of black leggings. I sat on the edge of my bed, pushing my hairband past my forehead, allowing the small bangs to fall on either side of my face.

I looked down and noticed a note on my desk, that read:

'Go to outskirts of Konoha when dusk falls.'

No address, no signature. I had nothing to lose, so I decided to listen to the instructions. When the time finally came, I hurried down the busy streets of Konoha and didn't stop until I reached the end of town. I managed small waves to Ino and Tenten as I walked, but ignored their questions as to where I was going, because I didn't know either.

By the time I arrived, the moon was beginning to replace the sun in the sky. Stars were blotted across the sky, thin, wispy clouds hazing over the full moon. The wind blew at me, and I suddenly felt chilly. I pulled out the note again and stared at it, puzzled.

"Okay, I'm here. Now what do I do?!" I questioned irritatingly, as if speaking to the paper.

I crumpled the paper up into a ball and tossed it over my shoulder in annoyance. It landed on the ground with a soft crunch. I collapsed to the ground, hugging my knees to my chest.

"I was stupid enough to listen to an anonymous note.."

The wind blew, louder and stronger this time, making me look up. The paper ball I had thrown danced over to the forest. Curious, I followed it, and looked at the tree it had touched.

I gasped, as water brimmed my eyelids: a heart was carved in the bark, with a S+S inside of it.

"He does remember.."

Sasuke watched Sakura cry of happiness from the top of the cliff, smiling softly to himself.

"I would never forget.."
