Konoha~Valentine's Day!

~Ino's POV~
Time: Boruto: Naruto the Movie

I was cooking up some soup when I heard crying coming from baby Inojin's room. I dropped my ladle into the pot and hurried to his room. His bright blue eyes were puffed up, eyelids brimming with tears. I lifted him into my arms.

"What's wrong, Inono?" I bounced him in my arms.

He reluctantly sobbed quieter, just so I could hear his tummy rumble.

I smiled, "Hungry, aren't you?" I returned to the kitchen, placing him in his high chair, "You're just in luck, I made your favourite apple sauce just this morning!" I popped the contained from the fridge and began to feed him.

The soul behind me began to spill over the edges, so I dropped the spoon and hurried to tend the soup. Five seconds later, I felt warm applesauce flick at my back and slide down my shirt. I cringed.

"Sai! Help me out here, will ya?" I shouted over Inojin's cries.

No response.

"SAI!" I screamed.

That lazy idiot was probably outside asleep! Some Valentine's Day this is..

I turned the stove off and put my entire attention on feeding Inojin, which was a success. But the second I started again with the soup, he threw his sippy cup at me and wailed once more. I rolled my eyes. Some attention hoard he'll be one day. I turned off the stove once again; this soup will never be finished.

"What do you want?" I asked him.

The moment out eyes locked, her broke into a smile and giggled at me. I couldn't help but smile back at the sight.

"That look always gets me.." I pulled up a chair and sat parallel to him, to keep him happy, "Where's your stupid father, huh? I've called him so many times and he doesn't respond."

Inojin reached forwards and played with her hair, babbling.

"Is he even in the house? Maybe I should go take a look.." I stood up and searched for him. I first checked their room, which was where he normally was, sketching away.

"Hey, Sai--WOAH!" I was tackled down onto the bed, feeling someone's arms wrap around me, and warm breathing on the back of my neck.

"Hey," he whispered seductively into my hair.

"S-Sai.." I managed, as he kissed my neck multiple times, trying to keep a straight face, "W-where were you..?"

His grip on my waist tightened, "Here. Just waiting for the right moment.."

I gasped loudly after he nibbled at my ear, then attempted to get out of his grip, "I have to..finish dinner..let g-go."

"That can always be done later."

"Inojin.."

"I'll drop him off at Sakura's. Pretty sure he'd enjoy playing with Sarada."

I loosened, "O..okay.."

"In the meanwhile, you go get ready." he stood up and left.

"I'll be waiting~"
