The Unknowns

Chapter 7

My dear Red, 

I am not at war because my parents are agriculturists therefore, we are needed here, unfortunately for me. 

I do have dreams, saving others life, having a purpose ,  making people happy, being happy, just to live a wonderful life without oblivion. I like your dreams , I wish the earth could be in peace but where there is humans, humanity isn't always there. If humanity really was, peace wouldn't be a dream, it would be reality.  

Your father will be in my prayers from now on. Don't worry too much, I am sure he will be home sooner then you think!

I have news from my friend. He told me that If I wanted to go fight with him, I could. I want to go so badly but I know my parents will sent a search party after me and I don't want them to do that. They barely let me go out on week nights, if I go they will really panic and I don't want them to. My parents are strict and they think I am a fool for wanting to be a hero but, they are still my parents.  If I leave, what will happen to them? Will they lose the farm? Will they be depressed? Will mom spend her days crying and praying for me while dad tries to take care of the farm by himself ? Will my sister understand why I left? Will they tell her the truth? I don't know if I want to find out. I love my family. I want them no harm. But, if me accomplishing my dream is harming them, will I take the risk? I am ready to fight but to betray my parents and leaving them? I don't think so..

I wish we could be neighbours and talk about the mysteries of life on a roof while contemplating the stars or having brunch every sunday with are two families gathered around a big table. I wish I'de known you since forever and that we used to  play together everyday. It would've been fun and very helpful at this moment, with the war ravaging our world but sadly , it is not real and we are only strangers talking about our problems with the world. 

If you want we could be more then strangers, we could be friends.
