"Huh?" The harsh sunlight stabbing at my sore eyelids as I prised them open, almost immediately shut them again.
"Where am I?" I mumbled, reopening my eyes, letting my eyes adjust to the blinding light. Finally I could make out the form of a hospital room, slowly things came into sight. This was no hospital room. Although it was made to look like one.
I have been in enough hospital rooms to know what one is.
"You, Lillian Chasen, are in the Triskelion's headquarters." I gently turned my head to see a figure dressed in full black. Looking closely, through my disorientation I saw a 50 year old man, grey hairs lined his headline, worry lines permanently set into his forehead, crystal blue eyes and sandy blonde hair.
"W-w-where?" I stutter, pulling myself into a sitting position, biting back pain.
"Let's keep it blunt then, you are in the middle of an infamous assassin base." He chuckled darkly, leaning back in his chair. My eyes widened in realisation and I made to get up but cringed in pain. I looked over to him, he was watching me in interest.
"Interesting." He muttered
"What is?" I ask, rubbing my forehead, ridding myself off the rest of the dizziness.
"You hide your pain so well, better than a lot of my trainees." He strokes his nonexistent beard. I laugh at this gesture. His eyes sparkle with amusement at the sound.
"Comes with years of practice. So, are you going to tell me what I'm doing here?" I raised a eyebrow at him before sliding back into the hospital bed.
"You are here because you have been chosen." He answers simply, keeping his eyes trained on my face.
"Chosen? For what?" Confusion settling over me, what?
"To be trained by me in the ways of the Triskelion." I choked on my spit, trained?!
"Why would I do that? Other than death." He chuckles at my answer but answers with his own,
"Don't you want to get revenge on the people who left you to die?" He smirked, I gaped as the memories rushed back. My own brother, I knew he hated me but I never imagined he would leave me for dead! A deep anger, bitterness, hatred set alight in my heart. They will be punished. Every. Single. One.
"Of course. Let the training begin."
