7 hours. 10 minutes. 8 seconds. That's how much time we have until we get to Oklahoma. Yes, we've been in the bus for a long time. In all, I've calculated that it will take 23 hours, 41 minutes, and 2 seconds to get from New York to the base in Oklahoma. It's actually been a really boring drive, because no one really prepared that much for this. It's also so hard to sleep because everything has just happened so fast. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it.

5 hours. 56 minutes. 12 seconds. Scottie has been asleep for a while now. I honestly don't know how someone could sleep after all we've been through, which is a lot. Come on driver! Get to Oklahoma faster!

3 hours. 43 minutes. 59 seconds. We've finally stopped for gas. It's good to get some fresh air... But their are a lot of poor and sketchy people here that keep trying to get on the bus. It's funny how desperate people can be for survival. Our driver is fending off the sketchy people with a bat while filling the tank with gas. I guess it's the most interesting thing that I've seen on this trip.

1 hour. 20 minutes. 18 seconds. We are almost there! Sooooo close! And Scott is finally awake, trying to convince me to talk about my feelings. I won't do it. I don't want to talk about all of the things that I've lost.

0 hours. 0 minutes. 0 seconds. WE ARE HERE!!! Yes, it's been boring. And yes, the base looks really crappy. But maybe we'll be safe here! We are here for three weeks, and I really hope that it starts to feel like home. The kids here are okay. They aren't as rich as me and Scott, but now, money really doesn't matter! Survival matters. I'm hoping that Scott and I will get to room together, but I'll probably get out with some girls my age. I really don't want to leave Scott, though. He's the only family I have left! If I get separated from him, I don't know what I'll do. After all, if I've learned anything from this situation, l have learned that family is more important than anything else.
