A glass of wine sat on the counter in front of me, I stared at it with desperation. Even if I get drunk it won't change that I'm in love with a 17 year old kid. No matter what happens I can't change that. I can change how I would act, I can change the fact that I'm a jobless 23 year old. I mean, I wish I wasn't a jobless 23 year old man, but I am.

I pulled the glass up to my lips and put the brim of the glass inside my mouth and tipped the glass. I let some of the alcohol flow into my mouth, then swallowed. I noted my phone buzzed on the counter. I took a second and stared at it. I left it and it buzzed again. After a few minutes my first glass of wine was gone, and I had shot glass' in front of me. My phone haunting me from who was texting me.

I got up and grabbed a skull shaped vodka bottle, and poured myself a lineup of shots. My phone buzzed and my eyes darted to it. My eyes traveled back to the shots, and I held one in my shaking hands.

As I went down the line of shots, my eyes grew tired and baggy. I struggled to keep my eyes open, before I fell asleep, sitting in my kitchen counter chair, face on the hard counter top on my island.

I woke up the next morning with my face smashed I to the counter top. I grabbed my phone and read through the text messages from an unknown number, "Hey, its Justin."

"How are you doing?"

"Hello?"

"Sam, are you okay?"

I set my phone down and grabbed something to eat for breakfast. My phone buzzed again and I groaned. I set down the milk for my cereal, and grabbed my phone. I slid the answer button and put it up to my ear, "Hello?" "Hey Sam. What's up?"

"I'm really hungover." I said honestly. "Well, I just wanted to inform you, I just got suspended for 10 days because I told the principal that I kissed you, when you were trying to tell me to get away." I shook my head in disbelief, "Stupid! Stupid! You shouldn't have to give up time in school because it wasn't just you, it was me too."

"I know, but if you get a call asking if you want your job back..." He said slowly, "I'll take it. Don't worry." He sighed, "Okay, I hope they give you your job back." I sighed, "Take care Justin." I said and I could feel him smile, "Goodbye Sammy." I smiled at his nickname for me, and hung up.

I put the milk away and dumped the cereal I had poured into my bowl into the garbage. The bowl went back into the cuboard. I grabbed my phone and went up to the bathroom to shower.

I sat at a lonely coffee shop in downtown London. My phone rang again, and I answered it, "Hello?" "Hi Mr. Smith," I heard the principals voice, "I spoke with Justin Baldoni earlier this morning, and he told me a totally different story from yours."

"Yeah, I'm sorry. I really just don't like it when I see students get in trouble for such stupid things." I said sighing, while stuffing my coffee. "So I did the right thing, I suspended Justin." I nodded even though she couldn't see me, "Yes." I said cringing. "Okay, I would like to offer you your job back." I cringed when I thought about Justin, "Yeah, I would love it back." I said smiling.

"Okay, you can start back at the beginning of next week." "Okay, thank you. Have a good day!" I said hanging up.

After a few minutes of sitting there, I decided to go out for lunch on my day off. I got up out of my seat and grabbed my phone. As I walked out the door I said goodbye to the person at the front counter, "Have a good day ma'am." I grinned, she smiled and nodded, "Bye..." She said as I hung up the phone. I walked out the door. I slowly let it close, and walked around downtown London. I stopped in a few little dinky shops, and had a few bags of clothes in my hands.

Slowly after a little bit of adventure, I made my way back to the car parking lot. I shoved the bags in my car and walked to the restaurant on a lake. I smiled at the man who was catering me. "Can I get a nonalcoholic Agua Fresca?" He nodded, "I'll be right back with that. Here, look through this menu." I nodded as he handed me the square menu.

When the man returned, I gave him my menu and ordered my food. After he walked away, my worst nightmare walked through the door. They just happened to be in the same place as me at the same time. Justin's douche friends were here, "Aw, hey Mr. Smith. Your stupid gay ass got us suspended..." I shook my head and squinted my eyes, "I never said anything about you guy. Justin probably did, because he was tired of your bullshit and rude remarks."

"He would never, he knows better. Anyways why would he stand up for you when he was the one who turned you in in the first place...?" I shook my head, "What're you talking about?" "Oh you didn't know? Justin told the principle that you kissed him and showed her the picture. He must've felt bad that he got you fired.. Telling you, he hates you." One kid said staring at me intensely. "Okay, thanks. I'll look into it..." I said confused.

I knew I should've never trusted him, and his friends are even worse. He's just as bad as them in fact. Justin is just a kid, he doesn't know any better but to make others feel bad. God, why do I make myself miserable?
