In The Shadows

Camp

I let out a scream as the giant black dog pushed me over and started licking my face. Is this- this is Mrs. O'Leary!

"Mrs. O'Leary get off," I mumbled. The hellhound backed off me and I saw Nico give me an incredulous look. "She's in the books too." He shook his head and offered his hand to me. I took it pushing myself from the ground.

"You got a little bit of hellhound spit... everywhere." Nico said awkwardly. I glared at him, wiping as much spit of my face as I could.

"So Nico I have a question for you." I muttered.

"Go for it."

"Are you gay?"

My eyes widened as Nico bent over and started violently coughing. I punched hid back, causing him to fall over. I bit my lip, trying to suppress the giggles coming from my mouth. Why am I giggling so much? What is this sorcery!

"I'm bisexual, not gay. Who told you that?" Nico confessed, blushing furiously. I bent down to poke his cheek and he hissed at me.

"Are you dating Will?" I asked. Nico went into another coughing fit, glaring at me.

"Not anymore! Who's writing these books! I thought you said they ended after the Titan War." Nico seethed. I pursed my lips.

"That's the first series friend. There's a second series about the whole Gaea thing. We all knew you had a crush on Percy though Nico. It was obvious." I said. Nico glared at me starting to walk towards camp. "I've always wanted to be a demigod..."

"Do you ever shut up!" Groaned an annoyed looking Nico. I let out a shrug, unfazed by his mean manner.

"Usually I'm not this friendly but I'm having a good day." I confessed. My gaze wandered around, slowly taking in the camp vibe. This place was so cool.

"I'm taking you to Chiron. I'm assuming you know him too." He said skeptically. "Yep" I said popping the 'p'. And we descended down the hill. I waved at everyone I recognized from the books,and they looked at me weird.

As we were walking to the big house, my mind wandered. I wonder if Chiron will be in horse form,and if they will think I'm weird. No they already think that. Cool,never would've thought that I would be in Camp Half-Blood. I then snapped out of my thinking when I saw a shadow coming towards me.

I talked to it a bit,and it informed me of everything that is happening and what will happen. What really made me happy was that I'd be best friends with Nico! Awesome,now I get to embarrass him and all that jazz.

I vaguely heard Chiron and Nico trying to get my attention. I was too busy to talk so I used the shadows to talk to them. What is it? I said,startling them both. "That's really creepy you know." Nico told me. Eh,its much easier to talk like this. So you're gonna have to get used to it. I told him. Nico rolled his eyes, and Chiron looked confused. This was going to be fun.
