When we arrived back at Zoe's house, it was 19:00 (7:00pm) and already dark. Joe's phone lit up with a text. It was from Caspar. I peered over Joe's arm to read it. It read:
Oi, mate, I've just met the coolest girl at the movies today. We're heading back to the flat, would you mind not coming home tonight? ;) Cheers x
My eyes widened as I turned to Joe. His eyebrows were knit and he seemed frustrated. He grumbled angrily, "Why has Caspar always got to bring girls back to our flat?" I ignored the hard feeling in my stomach and squeaked, "Caspar's with a girl?" Joe turned to me, remembering my feelings toward Caspar. A tear fell from the corner of my eye and I hastily wiped it away. Joe's wide eyes took in my upset face and he cupped my face with his hands.
"I...I really thought he li-liked m-me." I stuttered.
" Listen, he's not worth it okay? You'll find another guy, someone who's better for you than him. If he really cared about you, he wouldn't be out with some other girl right now." he soothed me. "Forget about him and help me find out where to stay tonight. Zoe and Alfie are having Alfie's parents over and I don't want to intrude." He chuckled.
"Well, you can stay at my place for the night," I sniffed, looking up at him. "Really? You're a life saver!" Joe exclaimed, hugging me tightly. We said goodbye to Zoe and Alfie and walked back to my house.
"How about we watch a movie, you can pick whatever you like, and order pizza? Forget all about Caspar." Joe suggested. "That would be amazing" I sighed with relief. "You always know what to say to make me feel better."
Joe grinned, then frowned. "Small problem," he said looking down at his jeans and jacket "I don't have any pajamas to wear."
"I'll drive to the shop and get you some sweatpants and a sweatshirt, yeah? All my clothes are too small for you," I laughed. He ran his hands through his hair and grinned goofily.
"I'll order the pizza and make popcorn while I wait for you to come back," he volunteered. I drove to the shop and wandered around the men's section. I grabbed a pair of grey sweatpants and laughed aloud as I spotted a sweatshirt with pizza slices printed all over it. Joe is really going to love this. I thought, giggling. I grabbed it and hurried to check out my items. I quickly drove back home and peeked through the door to smell the wonderful aroma of pizza.
I ran into the kitchen and found Joe already eating a slice. I threw the bag of clothes at him and whined, " Joeeeeee, why didn't you wait, that's not fairrrr." He grinned at me with a mouthful of pizza. I giggled, "You're so gross, Sugg." He winked at me and replied, "Not too bad yourself, (y/n)."
"Go change," I laughed, pushing him away from the pizza. He held his hands up in surrender and disappeared round the corner with the bag of clothes. I headed into my room to change as well. A few moments later I heard Joe's voice yell, "(Y/N) WHAT HAVE YOU BOUGHT ME?!?" He thundered up the stairs wearing the grey joggers and the pizza sweatshirt. I collapsed on my bed with fits of laughter.
"This is not funny, I look ridiculous" he glared at me. I looked around my room and spotted a piggy hat and grabbed it and placed it on his head. I shrieked with laughter as Joe stood there with a flat expression on his face, watching me make fun of him. I pulled out my phone and said to Joe, "Smileeeee!" He looked at the camera and flicked me off. I gasped mockingly, "How rude. This is going straight on Twitter." Joe finally cracked a smile and shouted, "Noooo (y/n)" and jumped onto the bed, trying to grab my phone.
He wrapped his hands around my wrists and plucked my phone from my hand. I growled playfully and wrestled it back from him, putting a knee on his chest. I shifted and sat on top of him triumphantly, straddling his waist. I tweeted the photo out with the caption saying: Joe just loves this new jumper I bought him.
"Done." I said in a sing-song tone. He wrinkled his nose at me and suddenly pushed me over, so that he was on top. He flicked my forehead and then hopped off the bed, sauntering back to the living room.
"Come on, we've got a movie to watch." he called back to me. I sat up and quickly changed into leggings and a comfy grey jumper. I loped down the stairs and hopped onto the couch next to Joe, who was eating pizza again. He was scrolling through his Twitter feed, reading all the replies to my tweet. They all more or less read: omg, Joe looks so cute, angry Joe is so hot, annoyed Joe is so cute, all the way to: Joe is daddy, Daddy fuck me. I stifled my laughter reading those last comments.
"You know, I do look really hot in this jumper. I see it now." he said smugly. I punched him lightly and scoffed, "Stop being so cocky, Sugg."
"Well then pick a movie already!" he exclaimed exasperatedly. I shook my head, chuckling. I picked up a piece of pizza and smirked, "Fine, Daddy" I mocked him, pulling some cheese from the pizza with my tongue sexily. His eyes narrowed and he muttered,"Shut up and pick a movie." I turned away to find the Netflix remote and didn't notice Joe shifting to cover his crotch with a pillow.
