A couple months later....

Me and Der became best friend's very fast and really bonded. Turns out we had a lot of things in common such as sports, music and movies. This school year has been going quickly and that's because of him. He made me enjoy life more and even though I don't want to admit it, I look forward to seeing him everyday. It was currently almost graduation and we all gathered at Elena's house which was a mansion. Her parents were really rich and owned a bunch of businesses. You could have never known Elena was rich as she was so down to earth which was one of the things I loved about her. I also could not believe I was at a party which I never went to before because I was so determined to study and get good grades. Der made me realize that I need to live life to its full potential. I mean I already had a good G.P.A and SAT scores, why not have some fun? It is not like I can go back to my youth once I am old. Finals were finally over now and we only had a week left of school. We were going to have graduation next week and then it's our last summer before we both head off to college. I got into NYU and Der, who also had a stellar resume, got into NYU, so we both were going to dorm in the city together. We also were thinking of getting an apartment after freshman year as living expenses in New York are expensive. Life was going well.

I was pulled out of my trance as Der pulled my arm. We all got in a circle on Elena's living room floor.

"Let's play 20 questions" I asked Der and the others, as we were thinking on what to play next. We had finished playing truth or dare, would you rather and board games and this was the last game we had in mind.

"Sure" we all said, nodding at each other.

Elena pulled out a bottle and spun it in the center of the circle. We all waited until the bottle finally stopped and was pointed at me.

"Lara you're first" Elena said, and I nodded.

"What do you believe in the most even though it's the most craziest thing you ever heard" asked Der

"Hmm I don't really know?" I said simply. What were some crazy things I believed in? I mean when I was little I thought the tooth fairy and Santa were real, but now I know better. One night, on Christmas, I thought I heard a noise near the living room, thinking it was a robber, but it was just my dad, putting my Barbie doll house under the tree. From that day on, I found out that Santa was my dad and the tooth fairy was my mom.

"Really?"

"Hmm yeah really, But when I was little I used to believe I was a fairy" I said laughing. I used to have a fantasy book obsession in first to fourth grade. I got super into Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, wings and mortal instruments, and for a while, I thought I was powerful and had magic powers.

"Wow, why fairies though" Derek asked with an amused look on his face

"Well...when I was little I read this book about fairies and how this human girl turned out to be one and I just started thinking that I was one too" I said, a little embarrassed to think about how immature I was back then.

I looked at Der and saw that he was trying to hold his laughter in. I chucked my pillow at him and said "Stop it, I was like 7" I said laughing.

He just smirked at me.

"Do you believe in vampires then?" He said suddenly, looking towards me. We all just turned to stare at him.

"Uh, like the twilight and vampire diaries?" I was not sure why he was suddenly asking me such questions.
