Chapter 4

It's been a couple of months since I transferred to where my mate lives.  I didn't know how to introduce her to my world, so I came up with a plan to move here, get to know her and make her trust be to make the adjust for her easier. Since my move, I am best friends with my mate. It feels amazing when I'm with her, but I wish I could claim her soon and make her mine. I am known to be impatient, but if I want her to love me, I need to make compromises.

I just can't stand that I can't kiss her and make her my queen. I know that she is head-strong but for a human, that is a lot to expect. I was so nervous when I first asked her out. I wouldn't know how to react if she had said no to me. I know she is having a lot of grief with the death of her parents, but I want to see her happy again. 

I want to hold her and support her when she is at her lowest.  I was thrilled when she agreed for one date. I need to make it the best. Even though she doesn't admit it, Lara is romantic. I know this because on one of our movies nights she was gone into the kitchen to make us popcorn and i saw her movie playlist with Me Before You, The Last Song, The choice and a bunch of other romantic movies in her list. I need this first date to be perfect.  A story worth telling to our kids. 

Now here I am making a picnic for our first date. I bought all her favorite foods since I know she loves it. I had my body guards watching her before I made the move to make sure she was safe and they told me all her likes, dislikes and favorite foods. Creepy, but very importent. There are a lot of rival kingdoms who want to kill me for my crown and my one weakness is my mate, Lara, who is a human having no clue about the supernatural world. If she died, my life would be over. So it was essential for me to look after her with my trusted guards. 

Right now I am waiting downstairs to see my beautiful mate come down. I am wearing a black armani tux, with a blue tie. I went to the flower store before and got her a white corsage. 

I am really nervous. One of my vampire abilities is that I can read minds. Vampires each have their own set of powers and the more powerful you are, with the higher status and age, the more powers you have and the longer they last on someone.  It is also more difficult to kill a vampire who has lived a very long time such as myself. 

Right now, I can read her thoughts and she didn't really see me as her boyfriend. She thought of me like a brother which frustrates me.

The whole school knows that I have a major crush on her and I'm deeply in love with her. Everyone notices it except her. She thinks she's not beautiful and trust me all the guys stare at her with lust.

She is coming down the stairs in an turquoise dress that comes up to her thigh. WOW!! She was beautiful in every single way. She would make a fantastic queen. 

"You look beautiful " I told with pure love on my face. She blushed which makes her face turn 50 shades of red, but she still looks like the most enchanting girl.  I couldn't have gotten a more perfect mate.

"Thanks" she mumbled giving me on of her shy smiles.

I offered her my hand and she took it. I bought her to the place where I set up my picnic I stared at her when her face was in awe.

"How in the world did you know my favorite foods?"she asked

"I have my sources" I said
"This is lovely thank you" she said

I couldn't stand it anymore. She looked so gorgeous with that innocent smile of her. I leaned in and kissed her she surprisingly kissed me back sending tingles through out my body.

"You have no idea how long I waited to do that " I said she smiled

We spent the rest of our evening talking about embarrassing things and laughing. It was so easy to hang out with her. I can't wait until we have kids. Our love story would be quite the bed time story. I could almost picture it. I just hope she adjusts. 

I love her smile.  After we were done, I bought her to her house she thanked me and gave me a peck on my cheek. Today was just the best day ever after the day I first saw her. I could remember the day I met her. I felt like a dream had just came true. It gets very difficult after waiting 2000 years for your mate. My dad met my mom in just a century. My friends all met theirs too, just after a couple of years. They all had their children and beuatiful families and I was still alone. I ahve seen so many tragidies and wars and violence and civilizations. From the beginnig of the Greek Empire to 2016, modern society I have had loss, pain and sadness. I had begun losing hope and started my player ways in hopes that would ease the pain, but it didn't. I finally found her and I am never letting her go. 

I can't help, but make her mine and I will very soon and introduce her to my parents. She never been in my house we usually hung out at her house. I kept thinking about my mate so I snuck up in her bedroom. She was already asleep so I took that as a way to admire her.  She looked so innocent in her sleep.

She was beautiful and that was how I spent my night. Staring at my beautiful mate. I can't wait to ask her to be my girlfriend in an official way and my future wife. Life was finally turning in the right direction
