I remember the day so well. The day when my ties were broken; when the strings snapped into two small, insignificant pieces. They were so thin, so fragile, and perhaps that's what made it snap. It was weak, and yet, it held such desperation and sturdy conveyance. I miss those strings. The strings of connection, that bound me to the earth's surface.

"Haru-nii~!" I was so innocent; naive.

"Hm? What is it?"

"Come play with me~!"

"I apologize Haruhi, I'm busy. Otou-san wants me to accompany him to the clan meeting." he was always busy. It wasn't his fault though. He was the heir of our clan.

"That isn't fair! You never play with me!" it was true.

"I am really sorry, Imouto. When I rerurn, how about I teach you one of our family's techniques." that was a lie.

"Really?!"

"Yeah. And if you want, we can stop by Ayame's. I heard they have restocked on some of your favorite sweets." he lied so much. He lied for my happiness.

"Thank you, Haru-nii! You're the best~!"

That was the last time we spoke. He died.
