it was a saturday today and today would be the day the phone call arrives either if i got in or not they also said they have many auditions they have to look at so the next phone call would be on monday or tuesday, a feeling of excitement was crepting to my skin because i have this feeling i might get in also after my conversation with the schools bad boy jacob, i have a feeling we could become really good friends as long as im in my 'lucky' disguise, i know in school no one wants to talk to a nerd like me. i got down and took my breakfast my mum cooked.
I ate bacon, eggs with rice....my moms cooking is really delicious but she mostly gets out for work.
"Hey, lis how was the audition yesterday??" my mom asked while still cooking some more bacon and eggs
"it was great, but the pictorial was partners" i said while taking a bite of my bacon
"ohhh.. did u find one?" she asked while putting the egg into a plate
"yeah, his name is jacob burke"
"Jacob Burke? hmmmmmm" my mom said while putting her index finger on her chin" that name sounds familiar"
"you know him??" i asked there was no way my mom couldve known him
"yeah, i think is his parents by any chance Ryder Burke and Rebecca Burke??" she asked in curiosity
"yeah, why do you ask?"
my mom squealed in delight" i cant believe after all this years their son said he wants to take up modelling also and he did, i must call them!"
"wait mom, how do you know who they are??" i asked in curiosity
"well we were the best of friend during college and we still get in touch with each other." my mom said while getting her phone. My mom will be the death of me.
"hello bree. its me Jocylyn. yeah its her. yeah. would you like to come to dinner tonight? yeah good. my house. bring your son also we have a lot to discuss. around 8? does that work. great see you!" my mom said i heard dinner and bring the son what could that possibly mean.
"mom, what do you mean dinner?" i asked her while putting my hair in a ponytail
"well, i invited the burke's for dinner" she said taking off her apron
"you've got to be kidding mom"
"get ready lis we have a few hours to cook and for you to get ready." my mom said strictly
6 HOURS LATER
"honey get ready" my mom shouted at me from downstairs
"im getting ready dont shout anymore" i shouted back
i took my showerthen i put on my underwear. I put on Jeans and a Nirvana shirt, i put on mascara, lip tint, a little of dark eyeshadow then i put on my glasses after.
I went downstairs to be greeted by a dissapointing look on my moms face.
"no. no. no. no. no wear something better" my mom snapped at me
"but this is what i usually wear, mom" i snapped back
"this is a get-together dinner and u must be presented like a lady put your contacts on also" she said to me doing a hand on hip pose
"fine" i murmured
I got back to my room and wiped all my makeup then i took off my clothes then i wore a black dress that ended 2 inches above my knee. i put on my eyeshadow on smokey kind then i put red lipstick not too thick then i applied some eyeliner making a wing and i also put on a layer of mascara. I curled my hair a liitle bit.
I heard our doorbell
'it must be them' i said in my mind then i was interrupted by my curling when my mom shouted "hurry up lis"
"im coming im just putting on my shoes" i shouted to her
I finished and then i put on my black sneakers now it looks like im going to a funeral.
i went downstairs to be greeted by Rebecca Burke and Ryder Burke
"Hi dear im rebecca please to meet you" Mrs. Burke said extending her hand to me and i gladly shook it
"And im ryder and this is my son jacob" he said while introducing Jacob to me
"pleased to meet you Mr. and Mrs. Burke" i greeted them with the same excitedness in their voice
"Please, dont call us that call us by rebecca and ryder" they both said laughing when they said it
"you!" Jacob said to me
"Uhhh...H-hey" i stammered
"You two know each other?" Mrs. Burke said i mean Rebecca
"Yes mom, shes the one i was telling you about we auditioned together there in Teen Vogue" Jacob said in a 'duh' tone
I was about to reply then i heard my mom telling us to go to the dining room then i saw all kinds of dishes there and i didnt even know my mom could cook like that
"Have a seat you guys" my mom greeted them happily
"you know looks like our children knows each other" ryder said to my mom
"yeah, thats why i called you guys over here"My mom said to him
"well why dont we get to know each other better we haven't seen each other for years jocy" rebecca said
"you daughter is very beautiful might i add" Ryder and Rebecca said
"thank you, she got it from me" my mom said
"Alissa why dont you give Jacob a tour of the house?" my mom said making jacob turn to me
"your name is alisa?!?! i thought your name was lucky?" jacob pointed a finger at me
"what are you saying dear?" my mom asked
"oh nothing mom we'll just get going" i dragged jacob far away from them then he started accusing me.
