Matt ' s POV

It's Tuesday. Diana should be coming soon to pick me up. All she said was that I should be ready and that she hopes that I'm not too picky today.

I don't know why I trust her so much. I don't even know her that well but yet I'm letting her take me to unknown places.

I'm already ready to go and I decided to play with my best friend, Burnie. I love this little fella. I can always count on him to cheer me up.

I played on my bed with my little Burnie. I heard the buzzer to my dorm ring and both our heads shot up and we just froze. I rolled off of my bed and went to the button to let Diana in. I already knew it was her because she had said that she was about 5 minutes away.

I went back to my bed and jumped on the bed, really close to Burnie, on purpose. We started play wrestling. He attempted to attack me by jumping on my head but I quickly moved and lightly laid on him.

I heard a voice call to me and I stopped laughing when I saw her standing in my door way. Burnie jumped off my bed and attacked her.

She smiled and said "Why hello little guy. You are so adorable!!!" As she petted him.

"His name is Burnie. And you can't have him. He's my best friend" I said proudly.

She shook her head playfully and smiled, continuing to introduce herself to Burnie by petting him.

"You just wait. I'm amazing with pets, and he'll soon like me more than you." She said raising her eyebrows and speaking in a competitive tone.

She started to play with him, rubbing his stomach when he flopped over on his back. She giggled and sat down to play with him some more.

I got off of my bed and grabbed my phone. I took a picture of her laughing while playing with my dog.
I have to admit, they are really cute together.

I grabbed my phone and threw on my hoodie. I fixed my bed and walked towards D.

"Are you ready? Are you like done playing with my dog already?"

"Aww is little Matthew getting jealous now? I told you. I'm great with animals, don't underestimate my awesomeness" she said with her head held high.

I reached my arm out to her to help her up. I grabbed her hand and pulled her up ...with a little to much force.

"Damnnn you almost broke off my arm there" she said playfully and laughing.

I shook my head and walked towards the door with D following behind me. She grabbed her coat and purse and opened the door.

I turned around and told Burnie to be a good boy and that I'll be home soon. I must have done something amusing because I heard a silent giggle from behind the door. I locked the door after saying my goodbyes and making sure that he was all set.

She led the way to her car which was parked not so far from the entrance.
We got into her car and buckled my seat belt.

We started driving and she turned on the music. Surprisingly her music wasn't bad I actually liked it. She sang at the top of her lungs and did crazy hand movements with the hand that she wasn't using to drive.

As we drove and the next song was coming up there was a few moments of silence. I looked over at her and smiled.

I love her free spirit. Like she doesn't care about judgment or about how she looks. Hell, she doesn't even care about what ever the hell she says.

She continued singing until we pulled up the side of a building.

Fuck. Why the fuck are we in some type of ally?...holy shit I'm gonna die today. Damn....wait I could take her. Wait what if she's part of some type of gang and they come and kill me. That's it I'm dead.

Pause wait did I leave the oven on?

I suddenly snapped out of my thoughts when I saw Diana standing in front of the car hollering at me.

"Yo fuck boy are you gonna get out of the damn car or...?"

"U-uh I'd rather stay in here. You know it's kind of cold out and I really don't wanna get sick." I yelled out the window.

"Matthew Espinosa you better get your ass out her right now or I could just embarrass you." She said with a sassy attitude, putting her hand on her hip and placing her weight on one side.

I got out of the car and stood next to D waiting for her to lead the way to where ever we were going.

She looked up at the stairs that were attached to the side of the building and then turned her head to face me.

"Hope your not afraid of heights" and with that she started to climb up the stairs.

I, being the dumbass that I am, I followed her. We stopped on the very first set of stairs all the way at the top. She sat down and let her legs swing through the metal bars. Once I got to the top I did the same and sat beside her and we just sat in silence.

"Matt." She looked me straight in the eyes and asked, "what's wrong with the world?"

I looked back at her and said, "many things starting with the fact that a lot of people still don't know me and my greatness!" I jokingly answered.

"Ok. Well I'll just check this spot off."

"Check it off for what?"

"For spots that you joke around at. Places where your not focused. I told you that our first step was to find a place that you can work best at." She looked at me again and genuinely spoke.

A few minutes passed by until i spoke up and asked, "So where do we go now?" I questioned her.

"Well our next place is up to you." She said with a smile and I raised my eyebrows with confusion.

So does Matt like Diana as more than a 'tutor'? I mean how could he if he doesn't even know her. I have to admit that it would have been pretty funny if she had some people trick Matt into thinking that they were gonna kill him.
