[Kirsten's Point Of View:]

The rising sun dispersed the chill of the night. Sunlight slowly filtered through the clouds in the pinkish sky. It was the 20th of June! Now, I, Kirsten, officially declare today is the first day of summer!

The only thing is,

I do not know how to spend a 104-day long vacation to fully enjoy it. What I do is, I want to experience a prodigious amount of adrenaline this summer and my parents are leaving for a business trip to Switzerland to further expand their Filipino Café business.

My mom told me that they will be going out for at least two weeks and they will be departing for their flight today.

Time passed and the sky grew brighter. The streets grew busier and the pinkish glow in the sky soon faded. Looks like it was time for Mom and Dad to leave for Switzerland.

Dad locked the last luggage and walked out of the doors with mom, not forgetting to bid goodbye to my sister and I.

I trudged back into my room and plopped myself onto my bed and indulged the warm comfort of it.

I plugged my phone out of its charger and unlocked it. I thumbed the whatsapp icon and checked my college group chat.

Hayes' ridiculous messages from yesterday night made me break out in spontaneous, uncontrollable laughter. I further scrolled through their messages to update myself on what is happening.

Apparently, they were as bored as I am. Right now, we were doing the same thing; stoning in bed and staring at our phones.

I got out of whatsapp and opened up skype. I called Hayes, Bridgette and Cameron. They picked up and we talked for a good fifteen minutes.

"I should be more productive." I said to myself, thinking about the many things I could do in sixteen hours.

I got up and made my way into the kitchen.

In the kitchen, I washed my hands. The stainless steel sink was cold as always. I cooked a decent breakfast for two, consisting of pancakes, maple syrup and some mixed berries.

"HELLO! MISS! IF YOU'RE AWAKE, YOU BETTER GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE BEFORE I EAT YOUR PANCAKES, KRIS!" My voice echoed through our rather, empty house. "Okay." She answered grudgingly as she trotted down the stairs.

We finished breakfast, we decided to go out and explore the mall.

We got back home when the sun slowly inched down to make way for the moon. We took off our shoes and left them at the shoe shelf next to our entrance of our doorway.

I did not bother to cook because we had gotten a takeout dinner from Pizza Hut.

Kris and I hopped onto the couch to catch our favorite show on Neflix, The 100. Apparently, it was the episode where Shawn's character dies. My sister and I were stupefied. Why him?

An hour later, we went to our rooms to get some sleep. I was not that exhausted so I watched 'The Outfield' to get a bit of melatonin running to get me sleepy.
