"What?" She whispered screamed. The zombie immediately put his fingers to her lips. He threw her sword aside and then grabbed her by her hand and dragged her into the night.
"Am I going to die?" She asked herself.
------------
Leah woke up underneath a tree in a jungle biome There was a pool of water in front of her. It was morning. She began to get up, but felt immediate pain in her face. She put her hand to it, but found no blood. It had been treated, and began to heal. She herd groaning.
"Who's there!?" She ignored the pain and stood up. She saw a figure approach her.
"Your scar was infected." The voice began. She sighed in relief at first, for the voice of a human. But as he came into view, she screamed in horror.
"Who are you?!" She turned, and ran deeper into the biome, hoping to find home.
"Why can I understand him?!" She asked herself. She then felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Ah!! Get away from me!" She screamed.
------------
"Why didn't he kill me?!" She asked herself. She had found her way home. And as normal, no one paid any attention to her wounds.
"Am I so ugly he thought I was one of him?!" She began to cry. She was so confused. The zombie hadn't hurt her, though she is a human.
But then even more confusion filled her, as she realized that he was the only one to ever show any kindness to her. What did that mean?
She did not know. And as she walked out her door, she thought even harder.
"Does that mean something?" She did not know. But as she began to tend to her garden, she realized she missed that compassion she had only once experienced. She missed the love she had endured.
