Early Life
Christopher attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
Personal Life
He learned before the first run through of the Off-Broadway production of In The Heights, that his son had been diagnosed with autism. Alongside his wife, he is an advocate for the organization, Autism Speaks.
Career
He has starred in many Broadway shows including In The Heights, Bronx Bombers, After Midnight, The Lion King, Holler If Ya Hear Me, Memphis, and now Hamilton.
Besides Broadway, Christopher has many tv and film credits. Some of which include Tracers, The Good Wife, Person of Interest, A Gifted Man, and Nurse Jackie.
He is also a member of the hip-hop group called Freestyle Love Supreme.
In the Emmy's, he has been nominated for three awards for composing music and lyrics for television. He won the Outstanding Original Song Award in 2011 for his lyrics to What I Am.
He was nominated for Best Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for the 70th Tony Awards. He didn't win, as his cast member Daveed Diggs was awarded it.
