Michaela stepped off the plane after a long trip. Her anxiety acted up a bit, so she wasn't eager to find something to eat. She quietly waited for the bags from the trip to come through, but they did not come. "Where's the bags? Don't tell me we're one of this people who-" Her mother simply nodded. Losing all their luggage for now, they went to get a driver so they could go to the hotel. "Maybe this part of the trip will be better." Michaela sighed sadly. It seemed like every good plan had a bad ending.

Back at the studio, Samuel awoke from his piano keys. "Well, that went well." He laughed at himself, wiping some drool off. He got up and walked to the door, but it was locked. "Oh wonderful..." He rolled his eyes, looking for the spare key. Once he found it, he unlocked the plain door and walked outside. The air was crisp and cool. He took a deep breath and went forward. He had a meeting that night for a gig. "Hopefully it actually works out this time." He muttered, walking to his small dwelling place to prepare for the meeting.

The hotel was just as crummy as the plane trip itself. The television didn't work properly, and the water was cold. She wondered if her family wanted a good vacation, or just chose the cheapest trip off the search engines. Either way, she was disappointed now. Her luggage was missing, possibly forever, and the hotel was terrible. Could anything else possibly go wrong? "Mom, I am going for a walk." Michaela said, throwing her coat back on and going out the door. The town was busy, but she was a people person, so it didn't bother her too much. She walked without direction really, considering she'd never been to California. Of course she was far too impulsive, and would be causing herself a lot of trouble.

Samuel had just finished getting dressed after a short shower, and threw his favorite leather jacket on. "It's my lucky day, or so I hope." He said to himself walking out the door. "Street is awful crowded today." He was a bit more introverted, trying to shove through the crowd and get to where he needed to be on time. While trying to fight his way through the crowd, he tripped and hit his head.  And for a few hours, everything went black.
