Samuel put the finishing touches on his studio. This was actually cleaning out the trash and putting a small display of flowers in the middle. "Flowers make everything look good." He smiled, feeling like he knew what he was doing. He sat back, playing a few songs from Prince on his cd player. He was beginning to regret his lack of sleep. "I just wanted things to be perfect, now I can't keep my eyes open. God, I'm an idiot." He sighed, opening a monster energy to try to awaken himself.
Michaela was just getting out of bed. She had finally decided she was going, and couldn't decide what to wear. "Do I go all out or do I act subtle? If I go all out he will know my personal style but if I go subtle it'll probably be a better impression..." She felt distressed, as she did with all first impressions now. Her hazel eyes glistened, nearly with tears, before she decided to go with something in the middle. "I'll wear normal makeup, but I'll wear this dress I prefer." She threw on her go to dress, the black and white ones with diamond designs in the squares. She threw on her favorite purple keds before stepping out the door, hoping for something to go right for a change. She began following the same direction she had found, searching the lights. "There it is, a pink light..." She smiled, opening the door and stepping in. She was left amused by the lights, but not by him. He had dozed off in his chair while waiting. Naturally her first action was clapping her hands in front of his face. "Yo! Awake! It's only one in the afternoon!"
Samuel woke up suddenly, nearly falling out of the chair. "Oh, hey! Uh, sorry about that." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "How are you?" He said, trying to recover his impression.
"I'm alright. I would ask about you but obviously, you're tired."
"I slept a little last night...Just not enough." He chuckled.
"Oh? How many hours?"
"Maybe two."
"Are you trying to kill yourself?"
"No, just working."
"On what exactly?"
"Michaela, I am sleeping in a music recording studio, why don't you take a guess?"
"Don't get smart with me."
"I'm not getting smart I am saying it should be common sense." He laughed.
"Well lets see! You could be writing, producing, singing, playing instruments. How do I know which is which?"
"You don't have to know."
"Why?"
"Because it is all of the above."
"Well that explains two hours sleep. You're forgiven." She gave a weak smile, her hair falling into her face.
Samuel stood up, wiping the hair from her eyes. "I invited you here for a reason you know."
"Um...what would that be?"
"A dream."
"Okay...I am not with a modeling agency. If that's what you're thinking."
"Damn, why does every girl think I am here for the looks?" He shook his head, pulling out pictures from a drawer.
"You draw?"
"When I feel like it." He laid them out on the small table where the flowers were centered. All were portraits of the woman in his dreams.
"She's pretty."
"She looks like you..."
"She's wearing a mask."
"Doesn't mean you can't see other features."
"There could be a hundred other girls."
"But I found you." He leaned in closer, looking her straight in the eyes with passion.
"You look familiar..."
"You see it too, don't you?"
"How do you know?" She turned her head away, before he gently rubbed her cheek.
"You don't want it to be me..."
"I would have no problem with it being you, trust me, but I am generally feeling it is just a dream."
"Maybe it isn't. Maybe we're meant for each other."
"We met a few hours ago, you sure want to go fast."
"I don't play with destiny when it is offered at my feet."
Michaela smiled, leaning in and giving him a kiss. "Then let's follow destiny, right?"
Samuel gave her a passionate kiss back, before it exchanged into a deeper session. They continued with love until she found it too steamy and called it off. "Enough, we don't want to go too far."
"We only met a few hours ago."
"If I listen to you we already met in our dreams for the past six months, idiot."
"Who you calling an idiot?"
"What, you think it's the guy in my pocket?"
"Sure, because I ain't an idiot." He laughed weakly before stepping away.
"I guess I got some work to do."
"I got a stupid vacation to get back to."
"You know you're supposed to enjoy your vacation more than I enjoy work, right?"
"You don't know a thing dear." She laughed, before walking out.
Samuel crossed his arms, smiling weakly. "Following destiny...I like that idea..."
