"Raaaaaay????" Lucy whined, waving her hands in front of my face what.
"Huh?" Ray turned his head to face her
"Were you listening to anything I just said?" She groaned
"You were talking?" Ray asked looking confused
"I'll take that as a no then." Lucy said as she looked where Ray was staring.
"Why are you staring at Rory?" She said as she stuffed an entire packet of skittles in her mouth.
"Uh... I don't know... I like his clothes."
Rory was Lucy's older brother, he was sixteen and on the football team.
"Ew, his clothes are way too tight for him, all the girls at his school love that for some reason." She shrugged "Anyways, I was saying seeing as it's nearly your twelfth birthday..." Lucy went on, but Ray couldn't help but continue staring at Rory mowing the lawn.
"... So I was thinking we could go to the movies." Lucy said turning to me again and waving her hand across his face.
"Sounds like a good plan, which movie?" Ray turned around so that he wouldn't get distracted by Rory.
"They are showing all three Lord of the rings movies in row! I love Lord of the rings, Galadriel is like SOOO cool, her hair is so pretty and omg that dress her face is so mesmerising and..."Lucy went on as Ray zoned out and continued staring at Rory as he poured water all over himself.

Two weeks later, Ray and Lucy bought a mountain of sugary provisions to get them through the movies. The first one began and Lucy completely fangirled over every minute detail and kept on whispering different fan theories and her list of shipped characters to Ray, he was pretty bored, but then a character came on and Ray was mesmerised, he wondered if this was the Galadriel Lucy was talking about.
"Is that Galadriel?" Ray whispered to Lucy.
"No, that's Legolas! He's played by Orlando Bloom, all the girls at school think he's dreamy but I prefer Galadriel, she is way prettier, although she's a girl so you know." Her voice went from giddy and loud (not to mention annoying to everyone else in the theater) to quiet, something which Ray had never heard Lucy sound before.
"Know what?" Ray tried to get Lucy to sound normal again.
"I'm not supposed to like her like that."
"Why?" Ray asked
"Why what?" Lucy got confused
"Why aren't you allowed to like Galadriel like that?" Ray was confused
"Because she's a girl, it would be like you liking Orlando Bloom."
Ray was quiet, he DID like Orlando Bloom, he liked his blonde hair, he liked his blue eyes, he liked his sharp jawline and his pink lips. Ray didn't know what was so wrong with this.
