Friday was dragging, as it was nothing in compared to Nick and I's day at the stables. So when it finally came to an end it was 3pm and I had just had a shower with my plans being to binge watch my favourite TV shows and eat the ice cream in the freezer that had my name on it.

I was in my favourite pajama shorts and a tank top when Nick knocked on my door. From my bed I shouted "Come in!" I was lying upside down flicking through Facebook on my phone.

"Juniper! What a pleasure it is to see you!" He said trying to do a British accent, this only sent me into a fit of giggles.

"Don't talk like that. Ever." I said after I had stopped laughing and he was sitting on my bed with me.

"Didn't like it? I thought it was spot on!"

"Every moment I spend talking to you is a moment that I'm not watching The 100, so you have a minute."

"Yes that's exactly why I'm here. I'd like to change your Friday night's plans into coming out with me."

"Did Nannette force you again. Cause if she did I'm going to have to have a word with her." I sat up to look at Nick, placing my phone to the side.

"Actually no. This time I am genuinely asking you to come to a party with me."

"And you won't get shit stick drunk again, will you? Cause this time I am genuinely saying that I am going to leave you where ever the party is." He mocked offense holding a hand to the wounding hear which made me giggle.

"No I won't I swear."

"Where is the party going to be." I asked giving it a moment of thought.

"Owens's house."

"What happened to ground rule number 3? Cause if I didn't know better you're starting to grow found of me." I said the last part in a sing song voice.

"Don't get too full of yourself there Juniper. So do you want to come or not?"

"Sure" I answered, before I knew it was getting ready to head out.

I pulled on some of my ripped jeans and a white sweatshirt that said "Parental Advisory. Explicit Content." and then I was good to go.

Nick and I happily chatted as we walked to Owen's house. Where we were greeted with shots that we had to down. Here alcohol was drunk freely, apparently Owen's parents were at Port Elizabeth and people were happy to hear that there was a house party at which everyone could let loose.

As promised Nick did stick with me for the night, he introduced me to his friends that were at the party who all took gos and drunkenly flirting with me. All attempts that were made I laughed at.

Both Nick and I remained relatively sober, so when the music was too loud we just sat and chatted in the kitchen.

"I'd love to hear the story of why you got so drunk last weekend Nicholas."

"Cause getting drunk is fun Juniper! You have to live a little."

"I completely disagree with you there. I hate having no recollection of what I did the night before. When I'm drunk I also dance terribly." I said laughing.

"I have to see that! I bet it would be so funny!" Our conversation was intruded when a girl whose name I believe was Christine barged into the kitchen.

"Hi Nick!" She said in a slurred voice. "You didn't tell me that you'd be here." She had walked over to him stood directly in between us, resting her hand on his knee.

A pit of anger had instilled itself inside my stomach and I wasn't happy with what I was seeing.

"It was a last minute plan." He admitted shrugging his shoulders, not being rude or polite at the same time.

"Well." She said slowly sliding her hand up his leg making me feel sick to my stomach, "do you want to go someplace more private?" She was looking at him with puppy dogs eyes that screamed that she was desperate for someone to get into her pants.

"Excuse me." I said giving her my perfected bitch look. "If you are so intoxicated that you are unaware of what seems to be going around you, Nick and I were in the middle of a conversation."

This only seemed to amuse Nick. But he backed up my statement by adding "Yeah actually Chrissy as my friend Juniper did say, we are in the middle of a conversation. So why don't you go back to dancing." He said this with a smile but you could tell it broke her drunken heart.

"Um, okay." She managed to hiccup out. "Some other time then?"

"We'll see." He said with a tone of finality which eventually got her out of the kitchen.

All it took was one look at Nick to burst out laughing when she finally left.

"Do you honestly enjoy it when girls like those are hanging around you Nick?" I asked when the laughing had finally died down between us.

"No, as I said. I'm not into the clingy type. And that was a clear example of clingy."

"She is absolutely love stuck, when I honestly even can't tell when girls find even the slightest bit appealing about you."

This was a lie because I knew what they saw. It was the same thing I saw. The deep voice, the curly brown hair, the perfect bod.

Nick never got a chance to reply though. Because at that moment Dean walked in, obviously expecting us to find him there.

"Nick, did you just send Chrissy out the kitchen crying?" He asked laughing.

"Nope that was all Juniper!"

"Hey don't look at me, she's so drunk I could have given her a puppy and she still would have cried!" I claimed in my defense.

We chatted like that in the kitchen for a while, the three of us. Though for some reason I wasn't the same.

"Hey Nick?" I asked.

"Yeah Juniper?" He replied matching the style of my voice.

"Can we please go home now?" He was just about to reply when Dean cut in.

"If you want to stay Nick, I don't mind walking her home."

Nick shot me a glance as if to ask if that was okay, and I shrugged my shoulders in reply.

"You sure?" Nick questioned Dean uncertainly.

"Yeah, I mean you could go and have a shot at Chrissy if you want to." He meant this as a joke, but neither Nick nor I laughed.

"That alright with you?" Nick asked me, concerned.

"Yeah I don't mind."

With that me and Dean were walking back to mine and he was chatting but I didn't say much in reply, just a mummer here and then.

Finally you could see the light of our house, at this point Dean laced his clammy fingers with mine and pulled me closer to him.

I could tell he was leaning in to kiss me, but I turned my head to the side so he only got my cheek.

We didn't say anything for the rest of the short walk up to the house, so I thanked Dean for taking me home and then I disappeared into my room

I waited for Nick to come home as I read, wanting to see how the rest of the party went. But I wasn't awake to see him come in.
