Wednesday

I held my books close to my chest as I skipped down the hall to my locker. The only thing on my mind was soccer. Today, the coach is going to post a list, with all the girls who made tryouts, on the athletic wall in the the gymnasium. I need soccer to work. Its what's going to pay for college. I need it.

I reached my locker and put in my combination. As I placed my books in my locker, I felt someone staring at me. I looked around but it seemed like no one was paying attention to me. Nobody wants to look at you anyway, Issoria. Get over yourself. I grabbed my Spanish notebook and an extra pen before closing my locker. As soon as I turned to walk away, I bumped chests with Gina.

"Hey Issabelle, I heard you been getting real friendly with Kendall." She said as she stepped closer to me, causing me to back against the locker.

"It's not like that. I don't even kn-" I started to explain myself but she interrupted me by pointing her red stiletto nails directly in my face.

"Girl just listen, I don't care about y'all friendship." She rolled her eyes and put her hand on her hip. "You think you can get him to go to homecoming with me?"

No you can not. Tell her to fuck off. "I don't know, Gina. Kendall and I aren't that close." I squeezed my notebook to my chest and mentally took a deep breath. Issoria, do not help her. She's not your friend. "I have to get to Mrs. Lopez's class, you should too. I don't want to be late." I slid past her and rushed to class. She wasn't far behind either.

"Mirar is..." I watched as Mrs. Lopez tried to review Spanish one with the students. It didn't seem like anyone knew the answers.

"To Watch." I answered with my head down.

"Thank you, Ms. Elmora." I nodded my head and continued to look down. After a few more minutes of reviewing, the bell rung and most of the students took their time gathering their things. I was not one of them. I hurriedly grabbed my notebook and rushed to my locker. Unfortunately, Gina rushed to my locker as well.

"Issabelle," she said, wrapping her arm around my shoulder, squeezing a little to tight. "If Kendall doesn't ask me to go to homecoming with him by the end on the month, we're going to have problems." She took her arm from around me and used her hips to push me into the lockers. She then laughed a little and flipped her hair.

As I start to walk away, I felt Gina pulling me back by my arm. "I mean what I say, Issabella."

Do not pay her any mind. She's isn't really going to do anything. I wanted to believe that but I also didn't want to take any chances with pushing my lawless further on her bad side. She's already embarrassed me enough.

India Westbrooks now plays Gina. Picture in chapter 2 if you wanted to see it.

I'm trying to get to the interesting part. Sorry if it's a little boring right now.
