"You." I heard someone sneer. I turn around and find no other than Periwinkle storming towards me. What did I do now?

"Hi, Periwinkle." I greet, really wanting to walk away. "You stole my boyfriend." she says, angrily stabbing me in the chest with her finger.

"Please, I didn't steal anyone." I say, rolling my eyes. "Then why are you and Jack so buddy-buddy?" she asks, smirking. I laugh. "Me and Jack? Yeah right, in his dreams maybe." I tell her.

"I saw you two talking yesterday. Don't act like I'm stupid." She sneers. "Who says she has to act?" Someone behind me says. I turn around and see Hiccup standing there.

"Why you little-" Periwinkle starts. He cuts her off. "Why don't you and your fake extensions walk away?" Hiccup suggest. I bite my lip to keep from laughing.

The look on Periwinkle's face is priceless. Her face went red, her eyes narrowed, and her mouth went into a straight line. "You think you're off the hook just because you've got Haddock on your side?" Periwinkle snaps at me.

"Why would I need him? I can handle myself." I say. This causes Hiccup to laugh and Periwinkle to storm off. "Thanks, Hic. But I could've handled it myself." I tell him.

"Oh trust me, Icy, I know. But it's fun to see her mad." He says. I glare at him when he calls me Icy. "You're supposed to keep it a secret." I whisper-shout.

"Calm down, Elsa. It may come as a shock to you, but you can trust me." Hiccups says, a smirk on his face. I sigh and shake my head. "I hate you sometimes." I mutter.

"Ouch, that hurts." He says, holding his chest. "You poor baby." I tease. Hiccup laughs and throws his arm around my shoulders. "To lunch?" he asks.

"Yes. I'm starving." I say as we begin to walk to the lunch room. "You're always starving." Hiccup points out. "Yes, yes I am." I say proudly.

A few people look at us confused, others glare, as we walk past them in the hallway. "How's Toothless?" I ask. "Good, I think he wants to fly more, though." Hiccup tells me.

"If I were him, I would too." I say. "You don't know the half of it." He groans. I wave my hand in front of his face, laughing. "Don't I?" I ask, referring to not being able to use my powers.

"Hiccup!" Someone shouts as we walk into the lunch room. I groan when I see it was Jack. "What, Frost?" I ask as he walks over. "What are you doing with her?" Jack asks.

"You mean Elsa?" Hiccup asks. "Yes I mean Elsa!" Jack nearly shouts. I bite my lip to keep from laughing, which causes Jack to glare at me.

"We're friends you numbskull." Hiccup says in a 'duh' tone. "Hey blondie!" Someone shouts. I turn my head to see Adam, also known as 'Beast', storming over.

"Um, what did I do?" I ask Hiccup. He shrugs, arm still around my shoulder. "Go away Adam." Jack says. "Shut it, beanpole." Adam snaps.

Something flashes in Jack's eyes, but before he can do anything Hiccup is over there holding his shoulders. "What, Adam?" I ask.

"Tell your friend to lose the attitude." He tells me. I sigh. "You'll have to be more specific." I tell him. "The red-head." He says, angrily. My eyes widen slightly and I shake my head.

"No thank you. You tell her." I say. "What, afraid of your friend?" Jack buts in. I glare at him. "You try dealing with an angry Merida." I tell him.

"Okay." He says, shrugging. He pulls out of Hiccup's hold and walks towards the table Merida, Rapunzel, and Anna are at. "What is he doing?!" I say, about to run and stop him.

Hiccup grabs my arm and shakes his head. "Let him. It'll be his funeral." He says. Adam mutters something about 'yeah, right' and walks away.

A loud scream comes from the girls' table and I turn to face it again. Merida is standing in front of Jack, face red, while Jack has pudding running down his white hair.

Hiccup and I both walk over to the table. "Jack." I say angrily at the same time Hiccup says "Merida," calmly. I drag Jack away from the fuming Merida.

"What the heck were you thinking?" I ask as I hand him a napkin. "You told me to deal with her." He points out. "I didn't mean literally!" I whisper-shout, slapping his arm.

He sighs and wipes the pudding off his face. "I didn't think she'd pour pudding on me." He admits. I shake my head, grabbing him another napkin.

"Is it bad?" He asks. I bite my lip and look at him. "Your hair may not be snow white anymore." I tell him. He reaches a hand up to his hair, causing it to spread more.

"You're an idiot you know that." I tell him, laughing a little. "I know." he says. "And a jerk." I add. He looks down at me, just staring for a minute. "I also know that." He tells me.

"Why?" I ask. "It's just how I am. I push people away. You wouldn't understand." He tells me, looking away. I look at my hands and sigh. "Try me." I say.

"What?" He asks. "All your friends aren't as bad as they seemed, how bad can you be?" I say. "It's a long story." He says, not looking at me. "Stop making excuses." I tell him.

The bell rings and I groan while he grins. "Saved by the bell." Jack says, walking away. I look back at my friends and shake my head. Why am I even trying with Jack?

The others proved themselves without prying, why is Jack so much harder? What is this kid hiding? Why is he nice then a jerk then nice?
