I wrote this one a bit differently. It's from one of the boys POV but you won't know which until it's revealed in the story. There is a story behind this and I might share it. I'm not sure yet since it's extremely personal. *EDITED*
I laid there in the cold night. People were screaming my name but I didn't care. Why couldn't they understand? Leave me be. All I wanted was to be left alone. I wanted to be alone when I died. But some jackass with a phone changed that for me. I felt the cool metal of the bridge pressing through my thin shirt. I shivered. I was so cold. I mean, it was almost winter but I wasn't moving. No, I wasn't going anywhere until everyone left. The police had put up a barrier, giving me thirty feet of space and holding back all the fans that had come. I felt so alone since they hadn't even sent anyone over to check me. But wasn't that what I wanted? To be alone? I'm not sure anymore. Maybe.
Suddenly there were screams and shouts from officers. I almost instinctively raised my head to see what was going on but I refused them. I closed my eyes instead. Then I felt it. Warmth. A girl with long white blonde hair was laying next to me in a fluffy silver coat. She hesitated for a second then intertwined her fingers with mine.
"Hey there." She had a melodic voice, like tinkling bells. "Hi." My voice cracking from the cold and lack of use.
"Why are you here?" I turn to her, seeing she was staring at the sky.
"I could ask you the same question. Why are you here? Is it that bad?" She replies, turning her head to face me, revealing brilliant green eyes and freckles which were all over her pale face.
"I'm here because I have nothing. Nothing left to live for."
"I wouldn't say nothing."
"It has nothing to due with the fact I'm famous." I sigh.
"I can understand that. Things can only make you feel more alone then you already are. I think you need a friend. Can I be your friend?" She smiles.
"Maybe." I returned my gaze upwards.
She follows. "Have you ever seen a sunrise?"
"What?"
"A sunrise?" She repeats.
"Um I don't think so."
"I have." She sighs in pleasure. "It was magical. The entire sky was a dark blue, almost black like this. The stars faded away, like the world was falling apart. Then the sun began to rise. First everything was gray. The some orange and pink. Then... out of nowhere... POOF! The world was lit. All blue, shiny, and new." She moved her hand that wasn't holding mine as she spoke of the sun. Her pale fingers were like flashlights against the black sky.
"Why would you tell me that?" I was curious.
"Because it was an experience I will never for get. It made me feel like the whole planet was waking up. Just for me. Are you popular? Like in school?" She asked.
"I don't go to school. I'm-"
"Would you be popular?" She continued.
"Maybe a bit."
"How would you be popular?"
"I can sing. I play football well. I have the four best friends in the entire world."
"I go to school. I'm not that popular in general but I'm popular with my friends. And I think you would be popular because you seem nice. And handsome. And smart. A smart person wouldn't do this."
"Ok but I-"
"Can you picture something for me?" She interrupted again.
"Alright."
"Close your eyes. Picture yourself in a boat. It's a small wooden rowboat. No oars, no motor. But you're moving. You're drifting towards an island. This small island has white sand beaches, green grass, large palm trees. Even some fruit trees. Everyone you love is on the shore. Do you wanna go?"
"Of course."
"How many sides of the island can you see?"
"One..." I felt her tone change instantly.
"Right. There's another side of that island, isn't there? That side of the island... has NOTHING." She snarled. I glanced at her, afraid. She was staring at me angrily. "The other side is cold and black. It's dark and cold. Lonely. The sun don't shine there. Everyone who was happily meeting you on the nice side moves to this dark side when you jump off this bridge. They're in constant pain and suffering. They have nothing without you. Your four best friends? They want their own dark islands now without you. Lots of people do. You help them be happy. You complete them. Do you want to go to the island now?"
"NO! I can't do that to them. They-they don't deserve it!" I felt tears rolling down out of my eyes and past my ears as I was still laying down.
"That's right. They don't deserve it. So why would you jump?" Her voice became softer again.
"I-I won't. I'm not going to." I sit up and everyone behind us gasps and starts to shout again. The girl next to me sits up too.
"Thanks. I really hope you can be happy again." She gives me another smile then stands. I stand and grab her wrist.
"Wait! How-how did you know what to say?" I look down at my boots as I ask her. She lifts my chin with a warm finger.
"I was in my own boat, going to my own island, not three days ago. But then... something happened. It changed me. I'm not going to tell you what happened but when it did... It made me forget everything bad. I'm hoping that meeting me was that something for you. I hope I cleared your head a bit."
"This did make me happy. Much happier. I like you. A lot. I-I want to see you again." She blushed.
"Maybe you will." She started to walk away.
"WAIT! I'm Liam. Liam Payne."
"I know who you are. The world does. But tonight, and to me always, you're that boy Liam. Not a pop sensation. You're the boy who was a little confused and very sad. But who now has his head on straight."
"What's your name?" I tried again.
"For you... I don't have a name. At least for now. I'm just another face in a screaming crowd."
"C-can I kiss you?" I hoped out loud.
"Do you need to?" She cocked her head and smirked.
"Yes." I closed the distance between us and put my lips on hers. I pulled away after a minute and she, once again, smiled.
"I guess I'll see you tomorrow. Meet me here at 4am. You're going to watch the sun rise with me." She walked away finally, disappearing in the crowd within seconds.

The next morning I slipped out of my sleeping flat full of people concerned for my safety and walked to the bridge. It was empty and quiet. I pulled my scarf around me a little tighter and sat back down on the edge of the bridge again. Somehow the water didn't seem as far away or as cruel as it did last night. I laid back, putting my hands behind my head. Then I felt it. Warmth. Her. I looked and she put her head on my chest. She started to play with one of the buttons on my coat. Her hair was up in a bun and I pulled her in close. The felt of her black pea-coat tickled my fingers.
"Hey there."
I don't even know with this one. I guess it went well. I loosely based this off a thought process and experience. MORAL: ONE EVENT, EVEN IF ITS ONLY A SECOND... CAN CHANGE YOUR ENTIRE OUTLOOK ON LIFE.
leave with that.
