Middle School Misery

"Why are you guys so late?" Mason asked,getting out from his seat.
"Mason! Sit down! I don't want to start off the new year like last year!" Mrs.Collision said,still writing on the board.
"What,does she have eyes in the back of her head?" Mason laughed.
"Talk after class. You two meet me at lunch!" He said kissing my cheek.
Corbin looked at me and smiled.
I turned around in my seat,still blushing from earlier.
"Okay,kids. Turn to page 56 in your textbook."
That's when I remembered.... I don't have my book...
I slid down in my seat. Great way to start off the year Emily!
I raised my hand slowly.
"Yes,Emily?"
"I um...don't have my book." I said
"Emily! Go get it!" She demanded, putting her hand over her face...annoyed.
"I got it." Mason whispered in my ear.
"No,it's my book. I will get it."
I stood up and left the room.

Time flew by quickly because before we knew it..it was LUNCH!!!
I grabbed Masons hand and dragged him to the cafeteria.
"Want some pizza?" He asked,holding a
a piece of pizza in my face.
I shook my head.
He shrugged and threw it back.
"That's disgusting, Mason."
I said,grabbing a salad.
"Ooo,sorry!" He said,waving his arms in the air.
"Oh shut up!" I smacked his chest.
"School number!" The lunch lady asked.
"56834." I replied. She shook her head,telling me it was okay to go.
I waited for Mason to come out.
"Where we sitting?" I asked him as I out alittle dressing in my salad.
He grabbed my hand and pulled me to the table with that girl at it.
"Hey." Mason said,smirking at her. That boyish smile of his is just...priceless!
I giggled as I sat down.
"Julianne, this is my 5 month younger sister, Emily." He said,hugging me from the side.
She waved
"Hi,I am Julianne. Nice to finally meet you! Mason would NOT shut up about you!" She giggled. She was honestly perfect!
"So,I heard you are the middle child? Can you tell me your siblings names and age?" Julianne asked me,smiling.
I shook my head.
"Well,we have the oldest, Hunter. He is age 18,leaving for college soon.
Then we have Sara. She is 17 years old.
Then,there is ...old good Mason here!
Me,then my two 5 year old twins sisters,Rachel, and Rosey.
And,my mother is pregnant with another kid. And it's another girl! I am so excited for it! She is 9 months. .so I could get a new sister any day now!" I said,catching my breath.
She giggled.
"I have always wanted a big family like yours! But my parents stopped at two kids! They couldn't take the stress anymore. But my older brother Kyle caused it all. He is 16 so you know how that is." She said getting up to throw her stuff away.
I sat there,in shock.
I looked at Mason,who was also sat in shock.
"Is she serious? She wished she had a family as big as ours?" I asked giggling.
"I am not sure." He said,shutting up when she walked back over.
"Hey,can I sit here?"
I turned my head and saw Corbin standing there,smiling at me with his deep dimples.
I looked over at Mason.
"Sure,man!" Mason said,kicking my shin lightly.
I kicked his,and then looked at Corbin and smiled, like nothing just happened.
