Super Flower

Chapter Four

The little legs carried the girl quickly through the halls. She had no idea where she was going, she just knew that she had to get away from the yelling. For her sake and for the others.

Suddenly, she found herself on the roof of the helicarrier. There were a bunch of tiny airplanes and people in uniforms. She ran behind a jet and saw that the door was open. She climbed in and hid in the back seat.

She curled in a ball and started to cry. She always hated when her father got angry and started yelling.

Suddenly, a man jumped in. He didn't seem to notice that she was sitting back there. He closed the cockpit and pulled a mask over his face. Lily saw a mask next to her and decided to put it on. There were also headphones. She decided to put those on too. They were a little big.

The engine roared to life. The pilot buckled himself in, so Lily followed suit. They started to move.

"This is a code red." A man said in her ears. "We got enemies coming in. We need all hands on deck."

The plane started to pick up speed until suddenly they were in the sky. Lily gasped. She had never been that high.

"Fury!" Bucky's voice was in her ears. "I can't find her!"

"What?!"

"I can't find her! I have no idea where she went!"

"How can someone lose a little girl?"

"I'm right here, Bucky!" She exclaimed. The pilot looked behind him.

"Whoa, what the fuck?"

"Where are you? How do you have a communicator? Fury, did you give her a communicator?"

"No! Why would I give a 5 year old a communicator?"

"You're Nick Fury. It wouldn't surprise me."

"Sir. This is Damian Azupe. The girl is with me. We're in a bird."

"Bring her back down!" Natasha exclaimed in her ears. "She's a little girl!"

"Yes, ma'am. Will d-SHIT!" He shouted. The plane jerked to the side and Lily hit her head on the side of the plane.

"Azupe, what-?" Fury started to say before he was interrupted by the pilot screaming, "AMBUSH!"

The plane zoomed side to side, narrowly avoiding other fighter planes. A bunch of men were shouting in Lily's ears. It made her want to cry again.

"Hold tight, kid." Damian said to her. And that's what she did. She held on to the chair for dear life. She wanted to close her eyes, but she couldn't. The pilot fired at other planes.

"Bucky, I'm scared...."

"I know, darling. Hold tight. We'll get you down."

"AZUPE LOOK OUT!" Someone shouted. But it was too late. The bullet hit the windshield and drove straight to the man's shoulder. He went limp.

Lily screamed and cried.

"STARK! GO GET HER!"

The plane was spinning wildly. Smoke started coming out of the plane. Lily was shaking and crying. She was scared out of her mind. She reached up and grabbed the pilot's shoulder, blood getting on her hand. But he was already dead. Her power wouldn't work.

The cockpit suddenly popped open and Tony was there in his red and gold suit.

"Its gonna be okay, kid. I promise." He offered his hand. "Undo your seatbelt and take off the mask and headphones. Then come to me."

She nodded. She pulled on her seatbelt, but it was jammed. She pulled and pulled but nothing happened.

"Its stuck!"
