"Sage, you okay?" You ask, running up to the boy after his fight with Team NDGO. He was the first one to be KOed during the fight, and despite his team winning, he probably felt a little bummed out.
Sage was sitting at with the rest of Team SSSN. When he saw you, he immediately smiled widely and stood up to talk. Sun laughed to Neptune and whispered something that couldn't be heard.
You looked up at Sage and told him that even if he got KOed, he did pretty good. "I'm glad you think so, _____." He said with a smile on his face.
Just as he was about to turn around and sit with the rest of his team, Sun stood up and said, "Sage, you should chill with _____ while we go do..."
Sun couldn't think of anything, so, Scarlet piped up and said, "While we clean the sand out of my shoes." You laughed and agreed that that was fine with you.
In a flash, Sun, Neptune, and Scarlet rushed away from the two of you, leaving a cloud of dust behind. You blinked, and looked at Sage. "Are they going to be watching us again?" You asked, face palming.
"Oh of course they are. Do you want to try to lose them? It might help me as training." He laughed, scratching the back of his head. You peered around from behind him, you could see Scarlet hiding behind a trash can, Sun inside the trash can, and Neptune 'hiding' on top of the trash can.
"Yeah, let's go." You say, taking Sage by the hand, dragging him along with you.
The two of you run through the stalls of food, stopping only to check if the rest of Sage's team was still in sight.
You and Sage sighed loudly at the same time. "I think we're safe." You mumble. You let go of Sage's hand and walk over to a cotton candy stall.
"I'll never understand why they're always lurking when we're together." You say, paying for two cotton candies.
Sage nods, but he secretly knows why. He accidentally told Sun that he kind of had a thing for you.
He shuddered at the memory and shook it out of his head, refocusing back to you. "This looks good." He says, taking the cotton candy you handed to him.
Your hands briefly touch as he grasps the candy. He blushes lightly, but you don't notice.
You turned towards him, then pulled him over to a table to sit at. You sat across from him, and smiled. You guys sat there, eating and talking about the matches.
"Did you see Sun? He totally hit that girl down in like four hits of his bo staff thing! It was so cool!" You say, beaming. Sage's eyes fell a bit, he wished he could have done something cool for you to see.
"Yeah, it was pretty cool." He muttered, turning away.
Just then, you spotted a piece of cotton candy stuck on his cheek. "Sage, you got some cotton candy on your face."
He looked kind of cute with it there. "Where?" He asked. You motioned to the side of his face where it was. He kept missing it.
"Here, I'll get it!" You say, laughing. You lean across the table, and before Sage can react, you press your lips onto the spot with cotton candy on it and pull away, the candy in your mouth.
Sage nearly passed out, his face turned deep red. "Sage! Are you okay?!?" You exclaim. He looks up at you still red. He touches the side of his face where the cotton candy was.
You inspected his face, and grinned, an idea popping into your head. You leaned over again, and gently kissed his cheek again. "You're so cute!" You say.
Sage heats up, and rests his head on the table. "Thanks..." He says. "So do you like me?" He mumbles.
"Of course, I literally talk about how much I like you with the rest of your team!" You laugh, a slight blush crossing the apples of your cheeks.
Suddenly, Sage leans across the table presses his lips onto yours. You feel yourself heat up, you didn't think he'd do that. You pressed back, a little harder this time.
"IT'S HAPPENING!" You hear someone scream from far away. Out of nowhere, Team SSSN pops up. You and Sage break apart quickly, both of you blushing heavily.
"You guys did it!" Sun cries, high fiving Neptune.
Neptune pats Sage on the back. "Good job, buddy."
Sage covers up his face with his hands. Quickly, using your training, and your semblance, the power to turn invisible, you do so, and then, scoop Sage into your arms, which also turns him invisible.
"Huh? Guys? Where'd they go?" Scarlet asked. "Huh?!?" Sun and Neptune cry out.
In the distance, you and Sage lightly kiss each other in peace.
