Chapter 6

Chelsea p.o.v

I'm sitting behind the waterfall against the wall of the cave listening. I don't hear anything yet. I wonder if they lost sight of me when I turned. Well they could always follow my scent. He's probably wondering why I ran. If they find me I'll have to explain if not then I may not go back. I'm too scared to have a mate he might reject me.

'He won't reject you. Just give him a chance. He will love you he has to.' My wolf always comforts me but at the moment she's not helping. 'How do you know? If he finds out I'm the daughter of a rogue he could hate me. He could beat me like the others. He'll even have me banished or killed.'

"Her smell leads to here. Do you see an opening or anything?" Its Jareds voice. They followed my scent here. I wonder who's with him. The voice isn't familiar. I hear them rustling around looking for the opening. I wish the opening were smaller it might be just big enough for them to fit if they find it. "Here. I found one. It looks small but we might fit. Let me try."

I still don't recognize the voice but it might be his brother. I wonder why he would follow too. Did Jared ask him to help? Or did he just follow him. I hear him grunt and stumble into the enclosure. "Woah." I can't see him but I know he's amazed and taking in the area. My breathing and heart beat get faster. They got in. "Hurry and get in here you need to see this."

Ah hell. I scoot farther into the cave trying not to make noise. My leg slips as I'm moving and I hit the floor of the cave. Thankfully the waterfall is loud enough to cover up the sound. It hurt more than it normally would since I'm still sore. I get back up and go against the wall and wait. I listen as Jared gets through.

"Can you smell her?" Jared asks and it gets quiet. "Slightly. It's dulled down by the water. It goes that way towards the waterfall." They start to walk towards the waterfall but stop at the small ledge. "How are we getting across? We won't fit on the ledge its too small." What he said had given me a little bit if hope. Maybe they can't reach me. Maybe i wont get caught.

"Let me try to get across. If I can just follow me ok?" It was the other one who said that. I still have no idea who it is. It has to be one of his brothers. I start to panic as I hear him move across. I look around trying to find a way out. There isn't any other way out but to go through the water. As he draws closer I move farther from him but closer to the waterfall.

He pauses and says, "Try to get across I'll wait here for you." Jared starts to walk across the ledge. I'm not as worried about them reaching me now. I'm more worried about them catching me. Itd be worse if they catch me because id get punished. I slide closer to the waterfall I can feel the spray coming off of it. It was slightly camling. Thankfully when I run the water will dampen my scent.

I can slightly see him through the waterfall. Hes right at the edge so i get as close to the waterfall as i can. He pauses and says "Be careful it gets a little slippery over here." He waits for Jared to get to where he is and walks in. He doesnt see me yet, it's kind of dark where im at.

"Lets check around i can't see all of it from here." Jared looks at him and shakes his head. I look closely at the other one and finally realize who it is. Its Aris his twin. It makes sense that hes here twins are connected in some sense.Aris is scanning the area and walks slowly in my direction. He looks in my direction.

Once he gets about five feet in front of me he sees me. He stops dead in his tracks. I look in his eyes. Mate? My wolf questions. I can tell he feels it too but hes not surprised. Did he know? Is that why he came?

I panic as he gets out of the trance like state and starts walking fast towards me. "Jared! She's over here!" Hes not far from me either. He looks in my direction and slowly starts towards me. I panic as they both walk towards me. I stumble closer to the water and lose my balance. I fall backwards and off the edge into the water.

I struggle under water trying to find the surface. I realize stuggling wont help so i relax and let my body drift up. I slowly reach the surface. Once i get there i look around. I don't see them. Not even begind the waterfall. I dive back under to look around. Just as i go under to look i see both of them close to my feet. I quickly go back up and start swimming. Thankfully i practiced a lot as part of my exercise.

As i swim towards the edge which is far i hear them break surface gasping for air. I look back and the see me and start towards me. Why do you run from us? We're your mates. I pause slightly confuses as to how i heard him. Im not sure which one it was. I snap out if it and continue swimming. As i reach the edge i can tell they're really close. I slow down and grab the edge and pull myself up. Just as i get up someone grabs me.
