Chapter 5

I ran past everyone. All of them watching. I run out the back door into the woods. I know people are following me. Yes people. I can feel a pull with mire than one of them though. I don't know who it is or why that person is chasing me but it sounds like two people. I take my heels off as I'm running and strip off my dress and shift. I'm faster this way and will get farther.

I head towards a place no one knows I go to and that I only know about. The water fall. Its small but it'll work. If I hide behind it they won't find me, water messes with scents. I'm running fast. I think I'm losing them. I hope they can't see me. The entry for the enclosure is coming up so I get closer to the ground slow down.

I have to sink closer to the ground since I'm not quite small enough for the entryway. As always the water is beautiful and vibrant but nows not the time to stop and stare. The ledge to get behind the water fall is a little small. I carefully walk over to the water fall and shift back. I'm not completely naked but I am in only a bra and underwear. I squeeze behind the water fall and sit down in the cave behind it and wait. I don't hear anyone so maybe they lost me.

Jared p.o.v.

I walk up to the house with my parents and brothers. I smell a wonderful smell like jasmine and vanilla. I wonder if its something they cooked. Its so intoxicating. I can't wait to find out. Right before we reached the door it was opened and we were greeted by David. I didn't like him nor did I like the rules for his pack he's too laid back. He didn't have enough control in them.

We walk past him, greeting him, and see a crowd of people in the living room. The smell has gotten stronger. I still don't know where its coming from. We walk in to the living room and stand in front of the couch. My dad starts talking but I have no idea what he's saying. It's probably about him. I'm too busy trying to figure out the location of the smell. I can't find it, maybe later I can wander around to find it. If it's food I might eat all of it. My father finished and now I have to talk. I really don't want to.

"Hello, I am Jared and these are my brothers Aris, Leon, James. I am your new alpha from now on. I expect respect from all of you. I am not harsh unless i need to be. I am eighteen, Aris is eighteen, Leon is sixteen, and James is fourteen. Yes me and Aris are twins but i was born before him so I'm alpha. You will listen to me."

I scan the room when I'm done talking. Everyone looks as if they understand. My eyes land on a girl in a red dress almost hidden by everyone. She looks shocked. I wonder why. She's beautiful. I look her over. She's got a perfect body perfect eyes perfect hair perfect height. I study her face and then land on her eyes.

We make eye contact and can no longer hear or see anything but her. The smell suddenly enhances and I feel our connection pull very tightly. THIS GIRLS MY MATE! I never thought I'd find her. "Mate!" I say out loud. I walk towards her as the crowd parts in confusion. She looks scared. She looks around at everyone then runs.

Why's she running from me? Does she not want me? I follow after her outside and into the woods. She shifts so I have to shift to keep up with her. She runs very fast for a wolf that small. She's the size if an omega. I wonder if she is and that's why she ran. Oh but she's so beautiful I can't deny her for that.

Her wolf is a odd color. It's a red brown color almost maroon. Not a normal color for wolves but it's cute. Her tail looks as if it were dipped in black dye. Her paws too. Her ears have red tips. She starts to turn and u notice small patches of fur missing. It looks recent. She should heal quickly but I'll keep in mind to ask her.

I'm broken out of my thoughts by the sound of foot steps behind me. My twin, Ari's, is following me. Why would he be hear? 'Why are you following us?' He should be back at the house with the others. 'I felt the pull and smelled her too. I wanted to see if it's true that she's my mate too.'
WHAT! How is that possible. 'Are you sure it was her and not someone else?'

'I'm sure it's her. I looked at her even made eye contact with everyone else. It's definitely her.' What the hells going on?! The moon goddess has got something tricky up her sleeve.
