Laurance pov
It was starting to get dark and Ivy was starting to get sleepy but I didnt know where to put her. If i put her in my room in the guard station it would be to cramped so i went to Zoey. "Hey Zoey um do you have a place where me and Ivy can stay" she looked at me ," Sure Laurance we have the guest room in the basement. "Thank you Zoey that will be perfect." I found Ivy in a kitchen chair sleeping with her head on the table I chuckled to myself and picked her up and carried her bridal style to the guest room in the basement. I laid her on the bed and put a blanket on her. I smiled and kissed her forehead and her eyes opened up. She yawned and asked me,"Can you tell me a bed time story?" I looked at her," Okay" i thought for a bit and thought of the perfect one,"Once upon a time a there was a girl with long black hair and hazel eyes and one day she woke up in the middle of the woods not knowing where she was, she walked for a bit and found this abandoned village, well it wasnt really abandoned people still lived there but it was run down and old. She made a camp in the library and the librarian was furious about this." Ivy giggled and yawned and focused her eyes on me. " She met a guard who would never show his face and they became really good friends. But the girl loved to go on adventures so gar- i mean the guard got her supplies to make a boat and she went off, she met a wolf tribe and and this other village that was well taken care of but the lord was missing so she went on a wild goose chase to see where the lord was and aph- i mean the girl found him in the nether, she was really brave and fought these dark knights who turned evil but she got the lord out and back to his village. She was a hero but she decided to go back to her village," Ivy was starting to fall back to sleep and i started to get tired so i went to Aphmau's storage chests and found a bed that i can sleep in, I walked back into the room Ivy was sleeping in and placed the bed right beside hers took off my armour and i was left in my pants and a t-shirt and i went to sleep.
Aphmau's pov
I woke up in the middle of the night again with the same dream that everyone in Phoenix Drop was dead. I got out of the bed Jackson and Amber let me borrow and went to the bathroom, i turned on the cold water and splashed my face with water then i heard a voice,"What are you doing up so late?" I turned around it was Jackson, he is so annoying before i even walked up the stairs from the basement he tried hitting on me, three times. I looked at him, and returned the question,"Why are you up so late?" He laughed,"Honey, I was hunting so we can eat tomorrow. Maybe you should come with me next time, a girl as beautiful as you should attract all animals." I rolled my eyes at his lame pickup line and nudged passed him and went back to the guest room to sleep.
I woke up to the smell of food and walked down the hall to the kitchen, to Amber and Jackson, Jackson was trying to hit on Amber but failed. Jackson reminds me of Laurance a bit with his light brown hair and blue eyes but in my opinion Laurance looks way better. Amber reminds me of Zoey with their barrier magicks but they cant be anymore different. Amber had long strawberry blonde hair with a light blue stripe in the front and forest green eyes she was really pretty and nice, shes a bit of a tomboy though but it suits her. Amber finished cooking our breakfast and in that time Jackson managed to hit on us both twice, this guy needs to take a hint. We heard a loud crash in the basement and we all stopped eating and i grabbed the closest weapon to me which was a hunting dagger and i held it. Jackson and Amber did the same, Amber grabbing another dagger and Jackson went to his room quickly to get a sword we were all ready to fight and we cautiously went down in to the dark basement. I cautiously turned on the lights and walked down first Then Amber then Jackson. We heard something fall and some whispers, we knew we weren't alone i hid behind a old bookshelf and peaked my head out from the side to see two shadow knights in uniforms, but how? The first thing I told them to do the day they found me was to shut off the portal. The Shadow Knights took off their helmets to reveal their faces. They were two I didn't recognize and neither did Amber and Jackson. We attacked them with our weapons and they fought powerfully. One of them pinned me to the wall and said," Shes the one where looking for," he smirked and i smirked back then i kneed him where the sun dont shine. He fell backwards holding his "area" and Jackson took it from there and we defeated the shadow knights. One thing I know about them is that they don't just die they respawn back in the nether but thats not a problem because we sealed the portal so nothing can go in and out unless there is another portal but Jackson Amber and I went back upstairs to eat like nothing happened.
