A/N: Written because no one decided to show some Valentine's Day Vaniro love.

Hiro looked down at his glittery-green card (yes. And no, it did not look good) from his best friend, Vanellope, which read, "Roses are red, Violets are blue, God made all of us perfect, so what happened to you?" He laughed and shook his head at Vanellope's... Vanellope-ness, when he realized there was another card in his locker. His eyebrow stitched together and he picked up the card.

"My heart skips a beat

When you say my name

But I know deep inside

You don't feel the same

~Your Secret Admirer*"

He frowned, as he realised there was nothing handwritten--- the card was store bought and the contents were typed, most likely to prevent Hiro from realizing whose it was. Well, then. He had a mystery to solve, didn't he? Whelp, he and Detective Snotskirt (when they were little, he and Vanellope would make up dumb names for eachother and Hiro almost refused to call her anything else. This one was particularly memorable because Hiro called her "Detective Snotpants" and Vanellope pointed out that he hardly wore pants; only skirts.) would have to figure it out. She wasn't at school due to the fact that she got out earlier due to free period**.

Hiro opened the door to Vanellope's house with his key. Ralph wasn't home until late and chances were-were that Vanellope's video games would be up too loud for her to hear him. They trusted him enough anyway. Hiro went into the kitchen and grabbed an apple (the free food that his Aunt Cass gave the family was enough to make up for the apple), then down the left hallway to Vanellope's room. He could hear her video games from the kitchen. Vanellope preferred racing games (although she liked doing it more in real life than in her TV--- something she made Hiro swear not to tell Ralph), but she did almost every kind of game there was. Nothing got her more excited, other than race cars.

Hiro walked into her extremely loud room and bounced onto her bed, behind where she was sitting in front of the TV on her bean-bag chair. Vanellope didn't turn around.

"That you, Dweebette?" Vanellope asked a little bit louder than nessecary.

"Nope! Just some creep that came in to watch you play videogames." Hiro responded, matching Vanellope's volume, since she was most likely suffering temporary hear loss, as she usually did whilst play video games.

Vanellope paused the game and climbed next to Hiro.

"Same thing." She replied. Then she leaned forward forward from off the edge of the bed to grab some heart chocolates and offered one to Hiro, to which he gladly accepted.

"These from a Valentine?" he teased, although a little weirded out by the slight sound of contempt in his voice.

Vanellope snorted. "Nah. Got 'em for myself. Cheaper, and not bad." She plopped another one in her mouth.

"Well guess what?" Hiro teased, "I have a Secret Admirer. And since you've got nothing to do this holiday, you get to help me figure it out."

Vanellope looked... the word would probably be uncomfortable. She tried to hide it with some nonchalant-ness.

"Mm, I think I rather play video games than figure out who your love sick bunny is," she replied.

Hiro fake pouted. "Pleeeaaassseee, Vanellope?"

"Nope," Vanellope popped her 'p' and climbed down to grab the controller, her cheeks flushing a little bit.

"Well then, I'll do it by myself and leave you all alone," Hiro said.
