Rose's POV

-

A WEEK AFTER THE WEDDING

-

I roll both my suitcases up to my best friend's door, I can't wait to find out where she's taking me for my birthday. Today I turn 19, that's right, 19.

'Ding Dong'

Hanna's doors swing open. "You won't believe where i'm taking you! And this is actually all free!"

"Didn't we have to pay for plane tickets?"

"Not in this wonderful situation!"

I sighed and followed Hanna into the taxi that was waiting for us. I looked up at the sky. It's finally summer.

-

"Happy Birthday!" Hanna says as I look out the plane window and eye the Eiffel Tower.

I look out the window; she wouldn't let me know where we were going; she would cover my ears whenever something was announced and cover my eyes whenever the destination name was in sight.

"Oh my god, Hanna!" I say, grabbing her arm. "Thank you!"

She nodded, but mumbled, "It was just by a pick of a hat."

"What?" I turn to her.

"Nothing, enjoy the view!"

I turn to my window once more.

-

"Where are we staying?"

"House."

"Who's?"

"You've met them, they're good friends of mine."

"Oh. When are we going to get there."

"Oh Rose, right about now."

I open the car door as the engine is no longer heard, and I hull my suitcases out of the open trunk. Hanna holds a piece of paper in one hand and a suitcase in another.

"Follow me." Hanna leads as I admire the stone walkway to the gigantic house ahead of me.

It looked really expensive. I couldn't believe i got this for my birthday. Best present ever.

Hanna slips the paper under the door and rings the doorbell.

"Are we staying with people?" I say, as I hear screams and yells coming from the other side of the door.

"Uh... uh... yeah... but.. you'll like some of them..."

"Okay then.."

She stutters and her mouth barely opens as the door creaks.

But my mouth dropped, down to the ground.

And so did theirs.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you..." Hanna smiled nervously. "We won a summer with One Direction!"

The five boys standing in front of the door were clueless, as was I.

"This will be... fun." Louis says, and I look at him like he was crazy.

"Yay." I say, a hard look on my face. I stormed into the house, up the first staircase I saw. I walked right into the first door on the right and locked it behind me.

Never mind what I said on the plane.

Worst present ever.
