Two

I had just returned from my self-assigned mission to Barcelona, Spain, to deal with some corrupt political figure. My muscles were contracting in pain as I finally sat down to rest, a sigh left my lips.

When I finally had registered my surroundings, I could hear the thumping of music coming from somewhere in the house.

I sighed, because I knew where that sound was emitted from.

Klara.

My roommate and best friend was quite the person. From weird actions, to crazy decisons, Klara has always been the weird one out of the two of us.

I had met her a few months after I had escaped the Populace, and I still thank the Gods that they had fated me to meet her. Klara may sometimes infuriate me, but I put up with her because she is my rock, in a way.

I trudged up the steep stairs of our house, the loud music only becoming louder as I neared her room. When I came face to face with the pale white door of Klara Pakati's room, I roughly opened it, with quite exaggeration.

Klara then glared at me, as she went to turn off the blaring music that echoed through the eerie, mansion-like house. "Seriously, K?!" I stated, walking into her untidy room, and started to clean up after her.

She groaned in annoyance as she saw me start with my bad habits. "No, you are the one that's cleaning up a room that is clearly not yours!" She flopped onto her bed like a fish just out of the sea. I sighed, as I placed the dirty clothes into the hamper and brushed my hands off, getting rid of anything that may still have resided there.

"Listen, in two hours, we're going out for dinner." I informed her, as I made my way towards the vast hallway of our house. "I hope you will be ready by then because I seriously need time with you to talk and such."

I waved my hand in irrelevance as I made my way towards my beloved room.

My room was fairly huge, modernly decorated to fit my likings. The vast, gigantic, white, queen-sized bed was in the middle to the right when you enter the room. It was adorned with black, white and gold sheets, with small throw-pillows on top.

The walls were covered, painted black with white and gold, intricate wallpaper that gave the room a more older vibe. It was also garnished with murals on two of those four walls.

Adjacent to the bed on the right side, was a pale, white, vanity desk, covered with cosmetics, books, among other things. Flowers were set on one of the two beside tables, which gave the room a nature feel.

The tall, white drawer was opposite to the bed, its top garnished with small antiquities that seemed gorgeous.

On the other side of bed, was settees that were furnished to looklike the old-fashioned style. A rug that was gold was placed in between those two differently sized settees, and a glass table that had intricately garnished black legs to hold it up was placed in the middle.

I placed my Dolce & Gabbana satchel onto my comfortable bed, as I pulled my heavily weight suitcase to the Walk-In closet linked to my room. The closet's lights opened and splashes of color hit me eyes. The white walls and furniture of the room made the colors of my clothings a big contrast to each other.
