One of my good friends is an adopted child though she fits in like a glove in her family. I love her to death and hope she enjoys my portrayal of the adoption and Aspasia. I'm glad I was able to met you during this lifetime.

Sincerely a dear friend,

Zahra

I opened my eyes slowly, turning onto my side. I glanced nervously around the cramped room, filled with other girls fast alseep, still shaken from my previous dream. The room was alluminated an unflattering tan by the moon's light, I walked over to the opening in the wall, a lame pass at being a "window". My feet walked barefooted across the cold floor and peered up at the moon. It made my heart ache as I recalled faint memories of a hectic scene, a blurred woman's face, and the moon the brightest and clearest from my memory. Unconsiously, I reached my hand up to tuck my unnaturally long, silver hair behind my pointed ears. I traced the edge of my ears, reminising on recent and old memories of being bullied for my appearance. I was a freak, no one wanted to play with me, no one wanted to share a room with me, no one wanted to talk to me, even the mainlady that tends to us all whispers about me. My eyes didn't water for my bad childhood like they did for the moon and the recollection of the chaotic scene I hold, I want to believe the woman's face I had seen was my mother's. My ears added to the miserable past. I was deemed an elf in the kindgom of the playground. Anyone who saw my eyes and hair knew who I was. I thought my silver hair and silver eyes with green flecks were gorgeous and uncomparible, I decieved myself to perceive this fruad.

My eyes felt sleep again so I glanced over at the thin matteress messily covered with tattered sheets and made my way back slowly. I saw in my peripheral vision, a the light creeping in beneathe the chipped door. It took three steps for me to reach my bed, only to imersed myself in the dirty covers, shutting my eyes. I heard quick footsteps then a door creeked open, loud shuffling and disheveled feet came after another door had shut. Then it was quiet for a little bit, but the light hadn't turned off yet. I shut my eyes closed as my door opened to hear a hiss in my ear, "GET UP!" It was the mainlady. My eyes opened from a fake sleep, I sat up befuddled and slipped out. She grabbed my arm and began to drag me out.

I was baffled, what on earth-?!  The floorboards creaked underneathe her obese body, I didn't dare open my mouth and have her to have an excuse to spank me despite my age. The mainlady muttered to herself though, "This late at night is unbelievable, although, the faster I get you out the better." ADOPTION?! Thoughts raced through my head as we descend the spiral of stairs to the lobby. The boys and girls of the orphanage all had awoken and curiously poked their heads outs. They were all grimicing and glaring at me, and I was with them. Why was I, the abnormal one, being adopted? Espcially this early in the morning!

We reached the bottom of the stairs to the tiny lobby, I then saw them. It was Kouta and a beautiful couple. The couple both portrayed a stunning bright blue eyes, the woman's hair spun out a beautiful blonde and the man's messy brown hair caught the dull light on the cieling, shimmering every which way. My eyes peeled away from the couple's radiance and saw Kouta. He was the only one who created a small hope in this dump. He had reassured me quietly as he passed by me when we were about 12 and whispered to me, "Don't listen to any of them, it's ok." I hadn't talked to him or seen him since then. I thought he had been adopted, but here he was 16 and taller than the couple. His eyes widen and panicked when he saw me.

I greeted the couple, "Hello." My voice that was rarely used was soft and petite. The couple smiled widely and exchanged glances at each other. Someone who might appreciate me! Finally! Kouta spoke up rudely demanding to the mainlady, "Madam Sabine! Please let us stay here!"

I looked at him wildly, "Kouta! What are you talking about?!" Stay here?! There was no way I was letting this chance go!.

Madam Sabine, the landlady, looked at him pitiously, Kouta's eyes bore into me, begging me not to go with this couple. They were dangerous. Madam Sabine, however, handed over the documents to the woman and rushed us out the door, slamming it behind her. I was frightened, despite wanting to leave that place, I felt naked outside. It was the place I had lived my entire life. I felt unsafe with the couple and Kouta's anxiety. His intuition was right. Once we arrived at the car, without any exchanged words we were shoved violently into the car. I shrieked in pain as my head hit the edge of the car. Kio struggled against the man, as he was being tied up. The woman had me buckled and tied easily because of my feeble resistance. She helped her partner and held Kouta before he slammed him in as she had done with me. My eyes saw through a blurry film of water the couple peel away their skin and hair. I was terrified, my heart nearly stopped when the smooth skin ripped off revealing their red-blotchy skin, with firey red hair and savage yellow and orange eyes. Kouta growled, "Damn Torches." I opened my eyes with shock. What on earth was he talking about?!

The woman cackled, "Enjoy the ride, daughter of the whore Queen."

The man shot her a terrifying look, "Shut that mouth Mary, Keeping her clueless is better for us." The woman glared and spat at the ground. They sat in the front of the black suburban and began to drive. The drove away from the only haven I knew. I had also realized: Kouta was unbuckled.
