From Diana Taylor's journal
Sherlock's playing. It's so relaxing.
I don't see how anyone could ever find it annoying and no, I'm not being sarcastic. It doesn't happen so easily to be taken by the hand by the notoriously "heartless" consulting detective to an emotional journey. I imagine that he counts on the usual incapacity of ordinary people to notice the details, otherwise he would never play in front of witnesses. I can deduce a fair lot of his feelings by the kind of music he chooses and by the rhythm he imposes on the melody, by the way he caresses the chords and even by the way he grabs the instrument. Does he walk around? Does he wave his body in abandonment? Does he sit, does he stands still, like a marmoreal column?
It tells a lot.Foxie
