Come Crashing

There I was,
on a steady boat,
amidst a shaky sea,
the horizon spreading beyond me.

The waves,
incessantly,
come splashing,
the boat took a bashing.

It wasn't smashed,
I hadn't crashed,
but I felt a longing;
to the seas, I wasn't belonging.

There was a ringing,
yet no signal,
was I deluded this noon,
was I... Was I a loon?

There were people laughing,
and singing,
yet as I sailed alone,
my madness was stinging.

I doubted if I would make it,
for my boat, the storm would break it,
but I couldn't wait on uncertainty,
so with my anchor, I sunk... certainly.
