Its time to awaken, Sofiel.

DEAN
-------/ / / / / / /
I miss work. I miss going out there and doing what I do best. But I couldn't bring myself to leave her. I know Amber chose Cas over me, and I'm fine with that. As long as she's happy. But that doesn't make me care about her any less.
All I could do these days was sit around the Bunker, forcing myself to look for cases. The one time I could really use a distraction, there never seems to be one available. Or I just tell myself its nothing in my field of expertise so I don't have to leave Amber.
I think I was worrying Sammy. And that's the last thing anyone needs right now. To worry more. Over me. I couldn't help it, though. I guess I was just so afraid that something would happen while I was gone. Or that she would wake up, and I wouldn't be there by her side.
"Dean!" A shout came from down the hall.
"Sam?" I shouted back, wondering what had my younger brother so... worried?
"You better get in here."
What the hell? I sighed, pushing myself off of my bed and following Sam's voice to Amber's room. I found Sam inside next to Amber. Who was awake.
She was awake.
She was sat up in her bed, looking around the room. She looked confused, like she didn't recognize her surroundings or wasn't sure what she was doing here.
I rushed to her side, praying for Cas to come. He'd want to be here. She'd want him here. Sam and I were crouched down on either side of her bed, staring at her with eyes full of concern.
"Amber, are you alright?" I asked, voice full of worry. She seemed different. I couldn't put my finger on it, but something was wrong.
She didn't respond, only continued to look around the room, as if she hadn't even heard me. I glanced at Sam, cocking an eyebrow. He shrugged, clearly as perplexed as me.
"Amber!" I shouted. She immediately whipped her neck around to give me a glaring look. "My name is Sofiel."
Okay. That was new.
I furrowed my eyebrows, grabbing her hand. "Amber, listen to me-"
She jerked her hand away, her venomous glare continous. "Don't touch me." She ordered, with an almost emotionless, yet serious tone. "I don't even know you."
Sam and I looked at each other, his expression reflecting my own. An expression of confusion, horror, and shock.
A sound like sheets blowing in the wind filled the room. Amber's expression grew more confused than when she woke up, showing none of the anger that she previously had towards me. "Castiel, what are you doing here?"
"You remember him?" I questioned disbelievingly, if not a bit hopeful. If she remembered Cas then maybe things would be looking up.
"Of course, I do. He's an angel. We all know one another."
Oh.
"Dean, what's she talking about?" Cas asked. For Cas, confusion was basically his default facial expression, but literally everyone was confused right now. And it was unsettling.
"She just said she didn't know us." Sam explained, moving his eyes back and forth between Amber and Cas.
"Nonsense." Cas brushed it off. "I'm sure she just needs some time." He didn't understand how serious this was.
"Cas, she told us her name wasn't Amber." I continued. When someone says they don't know you, and you have their name wrong, there's a big problem. Unless you were both drunk.
"So, what did she say her name was?"
"Sofiel." Sam answered, glancing at Amber. She was watching the exchange between us.
"Sofiel..." Cas whispered, seeming to associate that name with something from his past. I was just about to question him, see just what that name meant to him, but Amber spoke up.
"Can you people not talk about me as if I wasn't here?" She complained, voice filled with annoyance. "Although I wish I wasn't."
This was not Amber. Well, it was but... something was just very, very wrong.
"We have a problem." Cas conceded. The next thing we knew, Amber had disappeared, just as Cas had done oh, so many times.
"Now we have an even bigger problem." I groaned, throwing my hands up as Sam ran his through his hair.
What are we supposed to do now?
