"There it is," I mutter to myself as I spot the beast. This creature was not like others I've killed before, no this one was different. It had great horns like that of a ram with the slender, gray body of a mountain lion. Quitley, i sprint towards a nearby bush and raise my bow in an attempt to kill the monster. While I steadied in on a shot to the heart, the beast flicked his tail and turned around to my direction; he knew I was there. Quickly, I fire the bow and the beast goes down with a roar of pain. I bob my head down and get an arrow from my quiver. I knew the beast was in pain, but pain typically doesn't stop monsters like them. Once my bow was reloaded I Bobbed my head back out of the Bush and found the monsters corpse lying on the ground. "No fight today huh?" I tell the corpse with a smirk on my face. Lowering my bow, I get up from the bush and walk towards the corpse. It's body was lifeless as I expected, with the arrow piercing the creatures skull. "Now, let's see who you killed," I say as I grab the monsters great tail and drag him towards yorkstead.

"What is it today max?" Elizabeth sighs with discontent. "you know, you could at least act impressed." I retort with a smirk on my face. Elizabeth groans as she sits back on her husband's handcrafted wooden chair. looking away from me, she says, "Can't we just do this tommorow?" Not willing to give up, I make up an excuse. "Cmon elizabeth, this is my last day in yorkstead." With a sigh, she hesitantly gets up and walks towards her gemstone cabnit. "Okay, fine" elizabeth says as she picks out a blue and orange gem from her collection. I smiled with content and thanked her as she headed outside to identify the beast. "Okay, this the one?" she asked, pointing towards my kill. "That it is," i said with a smile. "Well then, here we go..." Elizabeth says as she puts a single gem stone in each of her palms. She then raises her arms above the creature and the gems begin to emit a slight glow. "Wow" I said in amazment; Her magic has facsinated me ever since I caught word of her abilties. As the process continued the gems began glowing brighter and started to hover above her palms. "nobis mendacium!" Elizabeth shouts to the creatures corpse. With the shout her eyes turned pure white, with the magic gems moving from her hands and to the beast. The gems moved between the two, back and forth, as if they were fighting for control. Elizabeth gasped for air and cried, "Vade Daemon!" Suddenly the blue gemstone flew into her hand, gaining her the upperhand. "Cedamus daemon!" She cried with all the strength in her body, forcing The orange gemstone into her rightful hands. With both gems in hand she clasps them together and screams, "Daemon, Dicere!" Elizabeth then made a beam of light from her gemstones, shining it down on the corpse below. Some how, This light made the corpse change, it's body began growing human features. It's mouth turned into human lips, it's fur Shedded to show porcelain white skin. The only feature unchanged was his grey cat ears. If not for them this creature would be unreconizable among normal humans.Suddenly, Elizabeth let out a gasp and fell to the ground, clutching the gemstones in her palms. "It's over.." she says through her breath. I quickly ran over to her side and asked, "what happened? Are you okay?" As i got closer i noticed that her normally dark blue eyes were now a pale, sickly color. "Ill.. be fine," she says through her pain. "Just, get me inside max." I accepted the request and picked her up from the ground. She was breathing heavily, and began to cough up blood on my arms. "Sorry," elizabeth said weakly as I carried her inside. Once there, I headed left to her bedroom and lied Elizabeth down gently on her bed. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry, what happened?." I say through tears. Elizabeth laughed faintly, "max you wouldn't understand," I look down on her in confusion while she flashs a smile up at me. " trust me, it's for your own good." In frusteration, I open my mouth to question her but stop myself short. Elizabeth did exactly what I asked of her and she got hurt doing it, who am I to question her in this time of need? So instead of that I turned around and went over to her herb cabnit in the kitchen. Looking through the cabnit, I spot the healing herb she typically uses and decide to put it on the counter while I brew a pot of tea. Once the tea was made I put some of the grinded herb into the drink and brought it over to elizabeth. "Here, I put that herb you use into this." I say to her as I put the tea on the table next to her bed. She in turn smiled at me and said, "thank you, dear." Blushing, I pull up a chair from her desk and take a seat while she slowly sits up to drink her tea.
