This happened in the park 10 minutes away from my house. I had gotten in a fight with my parents about my grades and I asked Marcus to meet me in the park and take a walk together, because being in nature always helped calm me down. We ended up staying out way past midnight, talking and walking around, holding hands.

I remember when it got too cold, he took his jacket and put it over my shoulders, even though he was shivering too! At one point, we sat on a bench by the lake and I just cuddled close to him, hoping to warm him up. That was when he told me he loved me, and I said it back. It was adorable, he couldn't even look at me while saying it, he just stared ahead at the lake 😂!

So I know to go straight to that spot for the last part of his treasure hunt. We're almost there! I can see a checkered blanket laid out on the grass, with a bag on top and bottles of soda and random snacks on it. "I asked Lucas to help me plan out the picnic part, because I couldn't have done it all by myself, haha" he says, a bit embarrassed.

In the middle of the blanket there's a blue velvet box. We sit down and I open it – inside is a beautiful charm bracelet, with a tiny airplane on it. "This is the first charm and I chose it because we both love travelling. I hope we can travel the world together and slowly add more charms to the bracelet. I love you, beautiful."

I throw my hands around him and hug him tight, kissing his face over and over again. "No one has ever done something like this for me. You make me feel so loved and special. Happiness, for me, is knowing you care and going on adventures together. This is amazing and I've never been happier in my life than when I am next to you. I love you too!"
