Alyx’s POV:

Monday, September 9th 2013:

Check, check one-two, Alright, here goes nothin', If timing's everything stop telling me you're taking your time, I know you're anxious but you're running your mouth like you're five-“ Nevershoutnever boomed through the speakers of the old I-phone as I let out a slight grunt and reached for the phone. I slide the alarm off still allowing the music to play and slither my way onto the icy wooden floor. I drag myself up and grab my phone before walking into the bathroom. I sneer at the reflection staring back at me and continue on my way. I glance at the time, 7:03, a time no human should ever be awake. I switch the fan on, set down my phone and turn on the water before stripping down and getting in.

By the time I get out four songs have passed and the room is loaded with steam. I grab a towel from the cupboard and cover myself before grabbing another one to wrap my hair in. After drying off I yank on my underwear and black spandex before putting my coral dress over it. I pick up my deodorant and put some on before pulling on my blue jean jacket that has the spikes on the shoulders. I spray my Taylor Swift perfume on and look in the mirror. I do my hair in a quick braid to the side of my head and put it up in a bun before I lean in over the sink and grab my eyeliner from the counter, I quickly put some on. I follow with a touch of mascara and eye shadow and finally call it done. I pull on my white bow sandals after walking out. I walk to the mirror hung on the wall and back away studying myself.

‘Wow Alyx even when you try and look nice you fail. You’re such a fat ass. Oh and don’t let anybody see your legs…or arms. Okay go have a good day.’ The voice repeats itself over and over until I feel a layer of water cover my eyes.

I look down at my arms and pull down the dress bottom as far as it can go. I look around at my so called ‘bedroom’. My room is the old, beaten down attic that has only one window leading out on the roof. I have my T.V. placed next to the window and my mattress along the wall. I have an old dresser across from the bathroom and big chair by the door that my cat Oscar sleeps on. And there you have my room. I grab my black backpack from my chair and walk over to my mattress. I grab the pack of Marlboro cigarettes and slip them in the front pocket. I walk over to my dresser and snatch my wallet and throw it in. I give Oscar a quick kiss on the top of his head in between his ears, turn off the light and lift up the attic latch. The ladder falls down causing a thud. I throw my bag over my shoulder and crawl down.

“Holy shit Alyx! Every god damn morning!” My brother Dylan roars from behind his bedroom door.

I push the ladder up and shut the latch and start walking. “Shut the hell up.” I say slamming my fist against his door. I walk down the stairs into complete chaos. My little brothers and sisters are all up fighting screaming at each other. I manage my way through and find my mom in the kitchen. She’s making sandwiches for the lunch.

“So how do you think I look?” I ask twirling around in my dress.

"Adorable like always, baby doll.” She says looking up at me putting a single sandwich in a brown paper bag. She rolls the top over and hands it to me.

“Thanks.” I say giving her a quick peck on the cheek. “Well I have to go. I love you.” I continue backing up toward the back door.

“Okay by sweets, love you. Have a good first day! Good luck!” She yells after me as I walk down the steps into the alley way. Once I reach the street I fish my phone of my bag. I plug in my headphones and turn on my music. Let’s Cheers to This by Sleeping with Sirens begins as I sling my black bag over my shoulder. I kick a rock down the street and see my older brother Garrett ahead. Garrett is 16 and my best friend. He knows everything and has helped me through the hardest of times. I run up and hop on his back.
