Chapter 17 - The personal quest.

Link yawned his head off after nightmare night and he said goodnight to Twilight and Luna and he head off back home into bed keeping his green tunic on.

"Well tonight was fun meeting Luna but I'm exhausted ill catch up on some sleep and see her again in the morning." He said to himself.

Link fell asleep under the covers and went out like a log.

There inside his mind he woke up in a green flame and he had no idea what was going on.

"Ugh my head." Link's voice echoed.

"Hello? Is anybody there?" Said a girl voice.

"I'm here!" Said Link.

"Oh thank goodness I thought you would never wake up!" Said the voice.

Link and the voice were explaining what the night was about.

"Ah you're name is Link is it?" Said the voice.

"Yeah." Said Link.

"Strange I remember a hero with a name exactly like that." Said the voice

"Uh oh we'll speak again soon!" Said the voice.

Link woke up in a rush and got changed into another clean green tunic and got his sword and shield ready and boarded his train.

Link then set off in the spirit train and he blew the whistle as loud as he could to wish everypony farewell.

"Now I need to head west into a dessert.

All of Link's friends gathered up to see if anyone knew what was happening.

"Why is Link taking off in the train?!" Said Pinkie pie.

Link stepped the gears up a notch and made it to go to the fastest setting and stormed off like a bullet.

"Shoot too fast!" Said Rainbow dash

"Next stop, the desert!" Said Link.

When the ponies saw what Link was going they also boarded the train and followed the way Link went.

"Link couldn't have just left ponyvile could he?" Said Fluttershy.

"I'm sure if he had a reason too he would tell us!" Said Applejack.

"Ah but he didn't!" Said Twilight.

"Maybe something serious has occurred to him and he is going alone." Said Rarity.

"Ugh we know Link better than this!" Said Twilight.

Link stopped the train due to a sandstorm.

"Crud..." He said.

He put on a scarf and wrapped himself up in it.

He jumped off the train.

"I know your in here somewhere! Said Link.

There was another train horn coming from behind and this time it wasn't a friendly train.

"Just my luck...." Link said as the train smashed into his.

Link dashed off in the whirling sandstorm only to find a cave 15 minutes later.

"Train will have to wait, I can't repair it now." He said focusing on survival.

He picked off a torch on the wall and there were strange carvings on the wall and there even was a gap which Link could fit through.

He blew out the torch and crawled through. When he reached the other side he couldn't believe his eyes, it was a great fairy fountain in Equestria!

"I have got to be imagining this!" Said Link

When the ponies saw that Links train was smashed they thought he had jumped out of the train as a last resort.

"Come-on Girls this way!" Said Applejack

They all followed her, but only to find themselves back at the entrance.

"What's going on?" Said Twilight after the third try.

"Its a cursed land!" Said Luna appearing at the back of the train.

"Cursed?!" They all gasped.

"Indeed the other me knew all about this place there is no way Link traveled on his own." Explained Luna.

Link walked towards the Triforce mark on the floor and he pulled out the ocarina of time and played 'Zelda's Lullaby'.

There was a huge female fairy which came from the ground.

"So you were the one dreaming!" Said the great fairy.

"Uh I guess." Said Link.

"Good, let me ask, have you forgotten who your parents were?" Said the great fairy.

"Yes!" Said Link

"Well you see your Hylian mother dropped you off in the forest and you were presented with a guardian fairy later on am I right?" Said the fairy

Link nodded.

Well you see I have a new fairy guardian which will aid you." Said the great fairy.

"Look i don't need a guardian fairy I can take care of myself! Said Link

Meanwhile back at the broken trains.

So you're telling me that Link has no chance of survival?!?" Said Twilight

"Unfortunately that is the case." Said Luna.

"But there must be something we can do!" Said Rarity

"I'm afraid that is not so..." Said Luna

"LOOK!" yelled rainbow dash and there was a human shadow in the distance.

Link came wondering out and saw the others had followed him, including Luna.

"SHOOT!" Said Link.

"WE FOUND YOU LINK!" Yelled Pinkie pie.

Link lay in the sandstorm and stayed quiet.

There was a sheet of sand covering him.

"Where did he go?" Said Applejack.

Link stood up right in front of everyone's faces and yelled "BOO!"

They all jumped in fright.

"Link that wasn't funny why are you out here by yourself?!" Twilight told him off and everyone else looking angrily at him.

"Guys i made an incredible discovery follow me!" Said Link

Link saw that Luna was by herself and he whistled her to follow him, when they arrived at the cave Link lit up the carvings on the wall.

The all were pretty amazed, but then link showed everyone the gap and made the true discovery of the great fairy fountain.
