catching everyone's eyes,
so graceful and sophisticated
everyone has tried to get you
or to catch your attention
and a lot still try to this day
you smile to each person passing by
a smile radiant and heartwarming
and you think no one knows
how you miss hours of sleep
to make yourself look just right
and train to look like a model
how you eat less than a child
watching that scale more than you should
and measuring your every limb
you think no one knows
how you cry every night
praying to whoever might be listening
praying for Them to save you
save you from society
save you from judgements
but in reality, you have to be saved
saved from yourself
from that perfection-craving beast inside
you need to pray to whoever
that you can one day realize
