"Well he had bruised arms and that made me upset and when I asked what's wrong and what happened he seemed to hate me."
"Well I know you're young and don't deserve this but Tyler's father hits us and Tyler thinks that's his fault, for not being good enough. You make Tyler better you know. Anyway when he ran off he tried to, well jump off the bridge. Luckily he's not dead but in critical condition. Tyler's father is in jail for child abuse and Tyler's in the hospital now.
He may need to stay in a psychiatric ward for a while"---
"-- what's that?" I ask cutting her off
"A place where you're supervised to make sure your mentality stable-- um not ssd anymore and to make sure you don't hurt yourself or anything"
But josh honey, I need you to know you didn't cause this it'd not your fault"
"But I should have helped him and I didnt" I feel tears welling up in my eyes
"No josh you couldn't have done anything because you didn't make this happen okay, Tyler loves you he wouldn't do that because of you"
