I'm really ready to get everything out and in the open in this story, but I know It wouldn't be a very good story. But beware, guys! EVENTUALLY, shit is going to hit the fan. I have SO MUCH in store for y'all.

I'm so excited..................... :D

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Holy shit!" I heard a soft voice exclaim.

I peeled open my eyes, it was still dark out. I would guess maybe 4 am.

"Are you alright?"

I blinked a couple of times, trying to get my sleepy brain to focus on where the voice was coming from. I rolled over to look at the barred front of my cage. I could make out the silhouette of a person. Maybe a boy, I guess, from the broad shoulders.

"Hailey? Can you hear me?" They sounded concerned.

I pushed myself into a sitting position on my bed, "Who are you?" I mumbled, groggily.

Silence.

I heard a sigh, "its Weston."

I resisted rolling my eyes, "Why are you here? You're going to wake up my uncles. As you can tell," I gestured to the animal cage I was in, "they're pretty mad."

"Well," he sounded hurt, "I just saw how mad Thomas was at you when I dropped you off and I just wanted to check up on you."
I huffed, "Well, maybe you should go."

"Hailey, this isn't right. When guardians get mad at you, they're not supposed to lock you in a cage."

I bit my lip, feeling an unusual anger bubble up inside me.

"Dude, why do you care?" I snapped.

His silhouette staggered back, obviously upset by my harsh words.

"Because," he started quietly, "I care about my friends. I don't want them locked in a cage."

I felt the anger dissolve by his nice words.

"I'm sorry," I sighed.

"But really Hailey. I don't like your uncles. They're hiding something. I can just feel it."

"I think we should talk about this later." I whispered.

"Fine. I'll come back later today." He said, turning on his heel and sneaking off.

"Come back with your dad, they won't say anything to you if you're with your dad." I called.

I watch him disappear laid back down on my bed.

"That boy is fucking crazy," I muttered to myself.

I woke up to the sound of metal clanking together.

I sat up, disoriented, to see my cell's door was opened.

This was my uncles' way of telling me it was okay to come out.

I quickly got dressed and ran off to see what the agenda was today.

I walked out of the tent, squinting at the hot morning sun.

I was glad it wasn't raining anymore. The rain made me uneasy for some reason.

I looked around, trying to find someone to talk to- I saw no one. I decided to try the main tent, grabbing an apple as I walked into the tent. I found Lucas, talking to Thomas, a worried look on his face. His eyes met mine and he said one final thing to Thomas before, turning to me.

"We're trying to decide if we should have a show on the Fourth of July or not." He ran his hand through his hair, slicking it back.

"Well, I think everyone is going to be cooking out. I'm not sure how busy we'll be." I offered my opinion.
