I'm sorry this took so long to get up! School is gotten crazy as we edge closer to spring break and I genuinely can't wait until this semester is over. Enjoy!

The next few weeks were hectic. I didn't have any time to go to the library and read that article.
We did shows, we cleaned up. There was not much more going on.
Weston was busy helping his father and sister with some last minute stuff for their big, huge Independence Day party.
The closer it got the 4th of July, the more my uncles stressed about maybe doing a show.
Every day, we would start planning a big, flashy show only for Lucas to decide at the end of the night that we are not going to be doing a show on July 4th. When we finally cleaned everything up, he would tell us he changed his mind and to meet back up in the morning to plan a better show. Starting the vicious cycle over again."I just don't fuckin' know!" Thomas threw his hands up in frustration, "If you want us to put on a show, tell me. If not, then shut up!"
Lucas ran his hands threw his hair, sighing. He turned to me, "The fourth is tomorrow... Hailey, what do you think?"
I took a deep breath in, "Honestly?" They both nodded at me.
"Honestly, I don't think we could put on a show early enough for many people to come. People grill out and make a whole day out of it. So from four at night until, like, midnight, there would be no one here. So I think it would be a waste. We couldn't really do one at noon because everyone is running around getting last minute things for their party."
Lucas nodded, "you're right. I don't think anyone would come." He pursed his lips, thinking hard. "Okay, we're not doing a show that day. Everyone can have the day off."
I smiled, I was hoping to go to Weston's party that night. If we had a show, I would have to sneak out and the thought of sneaking away and my uncles finding out, terrified me.
I squinted and blinked a few times as a sudden pressure started in my head. It felt as if there was someone pushing on the back of my head. I quickly excused myself to take some pain pills so the start of the migraine would stop.
As I was walking from the "medical tent," which was a small cabinet in the corner of the main tent with some pain pills, band aids, whiskey, and ace bandages, to the tent I sleep in, I saw a familiar truck pull up.
A frown crossed my face as I felt excitement bubble up inside me.
A gorgeous blond haired boy hopped out of the truck, "Hey, Hails."
I walked over to meet Weston, "Hey, stranger."
He smiled sheepishly at me, "I know, I've been busy here lately and haven't had time to come hang out." He faked glared at me, "It would be easier if you had a cell phone I could text!"
I held my hands up in surrender, laughing, "My uncles are crazy, you know cell phones only allow you to call one person and one person only... The devil."
Weston threw his head back, laughing.
"I've got a question to ask you, Hailey."
My heart hammered in my chest, "Yeah?"
"Can you help me get the last of the decorations up at my place? My sister is out with her boyfriend and I couldn't tell ya where dad is."
I smiled, "Sure, I would love to."
