to make a positive change in the world,
all one has to do is act.
it does not have to be some grandiose message
written in the clouds.
it can be as simple as offering someone your lunch,
helping them with their homework,
or even
just showing
that they do actually have friends who really care.you don't need money to make a change,
you don't need time.
you just need to act on what you think is right.and if you can't do that,
you're pathetic.
a coward.
someone who can't even be bothered actually doing
the simplest thing.you might be scared, yeah sure.
but think about the men (and women) who went to war.
they were scared.
petrified.
but they went anyway,
because they believed they could help make the world a better place.you mightn't have the time,
so what?
wasn't malala at school at the time?
but she still kept going and campaigning,
speaking out to make a positive change.you mightn't want to,
but in my experience humans rarely want to do anything that involves effort.
it's probably why we're so damn pathetic.you might be teased
but those people are the ones
who won't get to speak in front of the un ever,
because they go through life as parasites,
expecting the rest of the world to accomodate them.break it to them.
they're not moses,
and we sure as hell aren't the red sea.
and teach them,
through kindness,
that respect is a mutual thing.
so is love.
so is everything worthwhile in life.
mutual.
so if they want it,
they have to give it too.
they have to actually learn to give a damn.yeah, it takes effort,
and time,
but in the end,
it's worth it,
because it feels like you
have just justified the entirety
of your parasitic existence.because humans are parasites,
until we learn
that you can establish
a symbiotic relationship with nature.wow. that was a long poem. this is something really personal to me, and i mean every line of this poem.
