what is loyalty?
faith,
trust,
have been put in you.
and you live up to that expectation.
except,
to those i am speaking to,
i can't really say 'you'.
you're not loyal,
except to yourselves.
one bad person defending another.
so maybe you hate the right people,
so maybe you like the right things,
but you were always the one that 'right' was determined by,
so what kind of criteria are those?
one popular person no longer alienated.
and now you've got it,
fame, popularity.
but you sacrificed your soul for it.
when you didn't need to.
one person who is a role model, but a pretender.
there are other ways
to be popular.
do not make fickle friends,
because they will abandon you.
you may notice that others
are loyal.
and can i just point out
people like them more.
(and they're nicer)
